Even if it is hypocrisy, it's very far from right-wing nationalists burning the national flag during protests with left-wings. Like seriously? Taking a knee during the national anthem shows a lot more respect to that flag than burning it. I still believe that taking a knee is respectful. And this whole thing is made so much bigger than it has to be. Team bosses even refusing to hire these players? Grow up. Even if it was a mistake, which I'm not saying it is, they're still humanbeings. Treat them like humanbeings. All they did was stand up for equality for all races. Treat them the way you want to be treated. Treat them like 1 of us. Because they are.

Homer wrote:"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder. "

This is why they kneel, out of colins mouth himself.

Pay attention, they arnt kneeling in respect!

He never mentioned the word respect. Not showing pride isn't the same as not showing respect. Not showing respect is Saudi-Arabia refusing to take part in a minute silence before a football match for the victims of terrorist attacks. That's not showing respect

They are EMPLOYEES as Dez stated. I don't know about how it is where you work, but if I were to protest anything in anyway that brought a bad light to the company I work for while representing the company I work for, I would be fired on the spot.

As professional athletes, they are afforded a huge stage. They are followed almost daily and could "bring awareness" to any issue they wanted by simply calling a reporter. If they do it on their own time while outside the arena of their "job", it would be received much better.

There is a reason the network ratings and ticket sales for NFL games is tanking.

Kneeling or sitting in protest during the national anthem is disrespectful to all it stands for.

It would be, but it's because the purpose. The U.S.A. isn't standing for what it was made to stand for. It's changing. Police suspect, arrest, and kill African-Americans for doing NOTHING. They feel the U.S. doesn't stand for what it's supposed to. They're honouring veterans and the country, not disrespecting it

Veterans fought and DIED for the U.S. for what they U.S. stood for. U.S. is getting rid of what MADE the nation
