Regardless, I hear there's supposed to be a large feast in the governor's mansion. I could get you two invites if you want for the right price.

The other women just laugh and nod

Most of us have other plans, so our invites would be wasted. We decided to see if Imp here could help us out.

Veera sighs

Again, call me Veera. Not Imp.

We'd love too, Veera! I have more money and artifacts than I know what to do with atm!

Veera just nods and hands him 2 pieces of paper

You can pay me after the feast later. Sadly I have to attend it as well. It's tonight, so you may want to go fancy up when you can. Or don't, I don't really care.

I'm already wearing my best uniform. As for Li- stares at her empty chair. Where is she? Veera, did you see her leave?

[Meliva]

Veera shrugs

I don't pay much attention to folks I have no interest in. Maybe she went to the outhouse? Try asking around if you're worried. Though, with the guards outside, and as busy as it is, I doubt someone could nab her without using some sort of trick or magic.

Lizzie returns. Lizzie: "Sorry Tom. I was touching up my makeup. There was no need to panic like that.

Veera looks to Liz

Not sure how exactly asking me where you were could be considered panicking. I should know, I've seen plenty of people panic before-mostly due to me. Regardless, if you two want to head to the feast early and mingle, we can leave now.

The woman next to her nods

Sounds fine by me. I think I'll spend a little extra time with you Imp. You two can just call me Agrat.

Veera sighs

Veera. Not Imp. This is why I almost never visit any of you.

Dreadbolt stands, watching Veera and Agrat. Lizzie stands as well, and the pair make their way through the crowds to the exit, where Dreadbolt flagged down a hansom cab. (fancy term for carriage, I think)

Veera stands up as she and Agrat quickly leave. A while later, the 4 arrive at a large mansion, all hand over their invite to a doorman and enter. A large Ballroom is to the right, a large table being covered with various food and a elderly woman in a nice dress goes to welcome them. The elderly woman says to them

Welcome to the feast and party. I'm Lady Gale, the governor will arrive later. Nice to see you Agrat, you as well Veera. So who are you two fine youngsters.
