Jack pulls out a pistol, checks to make sure it's loaded, and puts it back into his belt.

A cult you say? Now that's interesting. What do they believe exactly?

Burt set's another mug on the counter and begins rambling

Call themselves, Heralds of Haven, saying that for now certain bad acts need to be done for the greater good. Show the idiots some magic tricks disguised as holy miracles, and folks ate it up. Just last night, the Johnson family sacrificed their first born daughter, as they were told without such an act, all their kids would die. Darn shame.

Sparrow? Sparrow...never heard of him.

The man spits out his rum, he grips his cutlass, looking furious.

Who's the witch?

Burt cleans a mug

Steel fella already told ya. Veera Helvune. Bitter, nasty witch. Only reason her family doesn't boot her is they already be down to just 6 members. Can't afford to lose more members when ya family is nearly gone.

I have no knowledge of such a thing.

The man calms down a bit. He drinks a bit more rum.

This cult did they come here by ship? And are their any people who haven't fallen under it's influence besides yourself?

Veera, the leader, can teleport, from my experience. And since the cultists are citizens, I'd imagine not.

Burt shrugs

Hard to tell mate. Ya see, if you go and speak out against the cult, that sort of puts a target on your back. I dunno if the whole port follows the cult besides me, or if plenty of folks don't follow them but just acts' like they do. I'm not too worried for myself. I've been manning bars longer then most. I don't see myself stopping over some little cult.
