Yes I've always wanted some more action in the game. Something like that. Something that requires more attention.

Fierce actions have consequences for someone who chooses a style like mine. One wrong move and I'll have an entire guild trying to steal my LMMs and Sols

That's called the consequences of being a trader.

What does having a 90k ID have to do with anything. Voodoo is king. It does not care what your ID is.

I can't really explain it, but I'm pretty sure other #9ers would agree with me. Just having it on your ID gives people just a tad of prejudice. They assume that you aren't good at playing PG and they assume that you will be defenseless to an attack.

But overall, yes, voodoo is king,

Who is "they" here? Gonna have to disagree on this one as a #9er. It's a fair assumption that newer players with less experience in any game will be lesser prepared for attacks. Even if the newer player is experienced enough, they objectively have less voodoo/money to buy voodoo. I don't think there's such assumptions (or at least I've seen little evidence of it) so much as an actual disparity in resources.

I think worrying about having ships stolen is just a consequence of taking aggressive action with a lot of good ships.

Hmm. I will say I think a peice of why noobs don't last long most of the time is because they get eaten for breakfast by more experienced players and then rage quit.

Most experienced players don't go and eat newbs for no reason. Often times, the newbs started a fight first. Hell just a while ago some newbie hit a fleet of mine with 4 flags galleons with his fleet of just sloops and sloops of war. Needless to say he lost, lucky for him, I gave him back his gold in a buried treasure, and gave him the advice to ask how to plunder since he clearly didn't know how things worked.

Some players would have just plundered him right back, maybe even steal some ships. If he quit after that, I would not blame the older player. When you are a newbie to any sort of game you should try to learn as fast as possible how things work, and not make stupid decisions. Such as picking fights with folks older and stronger then you.
