Again, haven't done trading in a while. Prior to the resource market, pirates still had to run some trade fleets to stock their warehouse. Them having them didn't make them traders. Me having a handful of fishing fleets running doesn't make me a tiny trader. If it does, than anyone that owns a plantation or runs any trade fleet can be classed as a trader of varying size.

I'm not playing the game as a pirate, and while I'm not privateer, I'm also not a trader. I'm more of a plunder opportunist.

See this is why you shouldn't classify people as either trader or pirate. Often people just don't fit into either one.
