Did I say hut? I meant cave. Thelma and Marla's house is nothing short of a dungeon. They are the most powerful witches in Avonmora, or so they claim.

Black pulls out the atlantean gem again.

No need to steal a horse. I'll conjure one.

He once again places his hand on the gem.

Horse. Summon.

A few seconds later a white horse comes running towards them from the fog. It stops next to Shade.

All abord.

Emily laughs a little

Honestly most witches of any power will "claim" that title. I claimed it myself. Doesn't mean we ain't lying through our teeth. To be fair though, hard to measure "power". I'm fairly certain that no one is as good at making golems as me. Hell I made one with rubble and my barehands. Now on the other hand if you asked me to do some healing magic? You'd be better off going to a normal doctor.

Strongest witch I know is my aunt. She actually made an island full of giant intelligent friendly talking spiders. She calls them GIFTS for short. It's a bloody hell on earth frankly. Damn things creep me the hell out. Too damn Friendly if you ask me. Any person who visits they think is "cute" and ask out on a date. And their voices, god it's so high pitched your ears will bleed and they never stop talking.

Anyway, gonna need more then one horse for our group, besides we can return the horses we steal.

She opens the stable and quickly hops on one and begins riding to the cave.

Alright, I do like stealing anyway.

Black hops onto a sickly-green colored horse.

What's wrong with this one? Seems to be ill or something. Anyhow, I'm sure he can still carry me.

Emily, you are underestimating Thelma and Marla. They are good at everything! Maybe when we get there you can have a golem-making contest with them, though to be honest you will have lost before you have begun. Marla alone used her abilities to strike the old Belgian king with lightning after he threatened to destroy her land - and did it from all the way across Avonmora. Thelma is a whole different story. She was able to kill an entire army of skeletons with nothing but a wooden spoon.

Did you personally see these feats, or did they tell you about them? I also doubt they can outmatch me in golems. I've made more new variants of golems and other breakthroughs then any witch in ages. A very popular one that I made was a blaster clay golem. Made entirely out of an explosive clay and could break off chunks to blow up multiple targets. Perfect for siege warfare.

My sister on the other hand once used a teleport spell to carry an entire armada across an ocean in an instant. She even wrote a book on how to make portals permanently stable and safe. Unless tampered with that is, in which case, well, it's gonna be a nasty explosion.

And my aunt made my dog Ino here and a lot of other interesting things. Uh, just-don't ask how she made old Ino. It's pretty dark magic honestly. Very brutal.

Emily pets the dog and frowns

Well like I said. It's brutal. You see Ino here, well she's dead. Been dead for centuries now. What you see right now isn't what she really looks like. You see, one can make a dog into a rather powerful familiar by first, starving a dog, until it's at it's greatest moment of desperation and rage for food, then you chop off it's head. Then you bury it's head under a busy road where many people tread-and let them walk over it adding to it's pain and anger. This normally causes the dog to come back as a VERY angry spirit. After all, peaceful deaths and painless ones typically don't make ghosts. Then once it becomes a spirit you take the head, bake it, put it in a shrine and BAM. You bind yourself a very powerful ghost dog familiar.

My Aunt made Ino here doing that from what I was told. Like I said, not pleasant. Very cruel and nasty dark magic. Then when my aunt retired she passed her down to me. She's as smart as a person honestly, why she's such a good partner.

Not so fun fact-this is supposedly a legend on how such a familiar was created. Please, do not try this, as it is VERY disturbing and needlessly cruel.

He hoisted himself on the horse, grunting. Emily, could a person's intelligence be bound to a golem?

She looks to him and just nods

Sure, though most folks wouldn't be willing to do such a thing. I'm guessing you be considering asking me or these other witches to put you into a golem body. Can't speak for them, but I could certainly do so. Course, you need to factor in certain choices. What kind of golem body would you want, being the main one. Need to remember that aside from a very fancy flesh golem maybe, you won't be able to enjoy any earthly pleasures like food, booze and intimacy. Not sure if you can enjoy it now frankly so you might not care.

I suppose though that given some time and the right tools and materials a talented golem maker could make it possible for other types to enjoy earthly pleasures. Don't think it's been done before. Might have to do such a thing to add to my list of achievements. Though I am not sure if this witches would have the right tools and materials for such a thing.

I gave up on earthly pleasures long ago, Emily. I just want to escape death. As for what kind of golem, something that's tough, but still affords me a good amount of movement ability. Steel or something

Well that makes things simpler then. I can certainly do steel. Greatest golem I ever made was a 20 foot, steel golem, with a dragon scale skin. I use it to guard my home. So proud of it, I named it Emilia, after myself and my mother.

How big of a body do you want anyway? Just so you know, Unless these witches have a ton of material they be willing to spare, might not be able to build your body here. Need proper tools also. Can't make a good golem with just my hands.

We should be nearing their home I think. What should we be looking for? A cave mouth? A sign?
