Scary

Postby Grimrock Litless » Sat Jul 13, 2019 8:19 am

Am I the only one scared of what IoM is doing? Most nation wants peace, but they've just been eating the small one one by one. They already have the most port and highest tax. It's also impossible to climb the nation because of the ship tax. At this rate, they look like they are slowly beating everyone out one by one while they stand on top.
"Got ya."

It's a pretty clever to be honest.
Not one a strong nation should fear as individuals within the group they are not overly high influence holders, thus susceptible to a concerted ***** slap should things get messy.
Heartliy applaud the border control strategy!

Are you reffering to when we invaded the uk, crushed them and took all their ports.... wait i think they asked to join us. or when we tried to merge with karibati unsuccessful and ended up with..... wait who got baramas?

Or maybe its that time.... what small nation did we eat?

I guess it was that time the bahamas tried to start back up and someone black deathed them to amost nothing and we said they could join isle and we would pay to repair the port.

Btw. Those players can leave with the port and raise their flag again anytime they choose.

Mostly we have a good buisness model. We dont spend funds to damage other nations, we use them to repair and support our own. We offer invites to players who are more interested in supporting their nations than lining their own pockets from the nations coffers. We dont make deals or treatirs we will not be able to honor.

If you have not gotten an invite... you are either to important or commited to another nation for us to try, you appear to be having fun doing your own thing, we have not spotted you, we dont know enough about you. you have ties that might compromise you loyalty to the nation, or you opinons that will not work with our structure.

Hey William, i seem to remember we had a deal, I was going to come there and you guys were going to acquire Baramas. Remember, we were getting minor voodoo attacks and you guys were protecting our tiny nation from the "agressors" who would want to harm us, then dman broke the deal and you all wiped me of everything and tried to take Baramas hours before the deal went through. Now I only have an MBA, but it seems that extortion and bullying is not a very good business model for Pirates Glory, but I can see how it is for IoM.

Heck, Worked for the mafia for years now. Turns out the mafia were the one always doing the damage that people needed protection from... everyone always knew.

Just Saying :D :D

IoM is the most active nation in Avonmora. They run lean, they are active daily, see opportunity and DO something with it rather than just talk about it.

There are 15 total people that fly their flag, compared to 15 in Tokelau, 20 in St Kitts, 204 in Spain and 2284 in USA. The key is IoM is active.

It is down to the willingness to play, to risk, and do something - that be IoM.

It is not an offense to be active. Scared of IoM? Why? Afraid they will take all the ports? Meh....do something besides whine about it then.

Tokelau did when we took Baramas, as we thought that way - scary IoM gaining too much. We shot first and asked questions later.

All said and done, some thought we were the big bad bullies, others thought otherwise. IoM was doing what they do. We did what we did. We settled and moved on

Was it right, wrong to do it? Depends on your perspective. My perspective is Tokelau DID something, we didn't whine about it. Right, wrong or indifferent. IoM did something, right, wrong or indifferent.

As for their new port acquisition, my perspective is we plan to do something this time...NOTHING. Not even whine.

KUDOS to those who do something rather than just talk about it.
