Does this reveal a flaw in the treasure hunt system. I mean, if you bury a lot of 1 gold treasures before burying your big treasures, will this in effect help protect your big treasure by diluting the chance it will get found?

If so, this may need to be balanced out of the system by making the chance that you find a treasure proportional to treasure size, i.e. the 1000 gold treasure as a 1000-times chance of being found over the 1 gold treasure.

Working it this way would seem to make sense to me. A huge pile of treasure is probably easier to find than 1 gold coin buried in some sand somewhere. Especially so if you dont have a metal detector.
