I'd argue it is double posting in the strictest literal sense; just not as most have come to know it.

Edit: that didn't quite work as planned... But I like it better this way. It makes no sense, but it's staying regardless.

Well to be completely honest it isn't. A post is when you enter a message and submit it here. No matter what you say in a single post, it's still a single post. You could repeat the same message a hundred times, and it would still be a single post. Granted that would be spamming, but that's a different issue.


Edit-for another example look at your post count to the left beneath your name. It goes up by one for a single post, no matter what's in that post. Repeating the same message a hundred times won't bump it up by 100, only by one. So it is still just a single post.
