Emily nods as the group head in, she notices some scales as they move in and after a while she spots the guard. It's a very big, very tough looking red dragon, sitting atop a rather decent sized hoard of gold and gems. It looks at the group but doesn't move to attack. It just says in a low deep voice.

I have been paid to keep people out. Leave, or I will eat you.

Carl looks to Emily and whispers to the group.

Uh, can we take this thing.

Emily whispers back rather harshly.

Hell no, not with a small group like us, with the weapons we have. We charge that thing and it will burn us to a crisp.But Veera told me what to do though.

Emily goes forward and drops the chest, opening it to a large pile of gold and jewels. She says to the dragon rather charmingly.

And what if we paid you to look the other way, oh great and powerful dragon.

The dragon steps aside after taking the chest.

Deal. She didn't pay me that much to begin with. Do what you want with her. Just hurry up and deal with her and leave. Before I get hungry. And don't touch any of my hoard.

Emily sighs in relief as she starts heading deeper in the cave, Carl and Brian follow behind quickly, keeping an eye on the dragon.

[Zephore]

Agnar inspects the dragon as he walks by

Well, I'd like such scales. They're making some of the hardest armour around.

[Meliva]

The dragon actually laughs at the remark and nods to some scales he's shed over the years.

For a price, I will sell scales I've shed. Not as good as ones that are fresh, but still very strong. 100 gold a scale will do.

Emily stops and addresses the dragon rather excited.

Ill be sure to stop by and buy some later. Those scales will be PERFECT to make my magnum opus even greater.

The dragon nods.

I don't care what you do with them. I've shed hundreds, maybe thousands over the years i lived here. But i know how you little ones love them, so i hoarded them as well.

[Jack Teach]

Jack smiles weakly

Agnar continues through the path, this time with his sword in the hand

The group head deeper into the cavern and spot a small lab being set up, with Nelly standing over a chest. She shrieks at the group.

How in the 9 hells did you lot get past that Klawth, he should have made you into snacks!

She thinks for a moment before sighing and looks at them, before saying rather defeated.

I didn't hear fighting at all. You bribed him didn't you? Bloody dragons and their greed. Whatever. I won't go without a fight.

She takes out a sword, and mutters a quick spell. She disappears for a moment, and reappears behind the group, only now there are 10 of her. Emily laughs, and casts a spell as well. The copies disappear, and Nelly just looks upward before speaking in a tired voice..

Well. Today Is just one thing after another isn't it.. To hell with it. Go ahead and imprison me, or kill me. Even if i win, Veera would make me pay sooner or later.

Emily is suspicious at first, when she realizes quite a few beasts are coming from deeper in the cave. Nelly says in a rather sinsiter voice as she casts another spell, summoning 2 large imps in front of her.

Then again, if she sent you instead of herself, she might not be too upset afterall. Perhaps an apology and her items returned would appease her.

Agnar prepares to fight

Oh yet another time my sword will be of use.

[Jack Teach]

Jack pulls out a pistol and his bright cutlass. He kills both imps with a double shot flintlock .

[Meliva]

Several large wolves come rushing in, Brian and Carl move to fight them, and several go after Agnar. The imps after a moment get back up and laugh fiendishly. Nelly taunts Jack. She says to him a blessed weapon or magic is needed to properly remove demons. And the imps begin approaching him without fear-unaware of his sword. Emily casually walks over to the chest and notices runes on it. She sits down and begins inspecting it. When a wolf comes near her she mutters a quick spell and a circle of blue flames circle around her, blasting it away, she casually remarks to the others.

You guys got this, I am going to start examining the runes on this chest. Jack, your sword should make short work of the imps.

[Jack Teach]

Jack draws his sword and cuts them down with two cuts using his wrist. Jack smiles at Nellie

You'll have to do better than that.
