HAPPY VALENTINE DAY

And it makes me puke. If I love someone ( like I said I don't as I have no feelings) I would take my significant other out on a dinner once a week I would buy her flowers or just 1 rose every 2nd day I would help her with housework etc. This 1 day shouldn't be special every day with your better half should be special and yet there are those whom take their other half on a dinner buy her flowers on this day they act all lovey dovey and tomorrow they beat the crap out of her or just comes home drops his ass on the sofa yelling what did you prepare for dinner, bring me beer and other stuff acting like pig ( alrhough comparison is insult for the pigs). Hilocracy at maximum.

Well some people can't afford to take someone out to dinner every week, and since this is the day where a person is honored because they're the patron of love, why not share a card? Or buy some chocolate? It's a day to do something that you wouldn't do every day with someone you love.

If they love each other even pizza is enough if you can't afford restaurants with higher price weekly. I doubt that someone can't afford pizza weekly. Granted there are people to whom that is luxury but those people are special and if they are lucky to have significant other you can point finger at them and say that is love. But I am not talking about those people. What makes me sick about this day is it turns around money and generally people are envy each kthers so there are people whom spend evwrything on this day and then tomorrow they doean't have enough to buy bread just so that they can say I took her there look at me I am awesome. And todays sociaity supports that kind.

I agree with Wolfie to an extent. Valentine's Day has become a joke of a holiday. You don't need super marked up chocolates or roses to show someone that you love and/or care about them. Capitalism hasn't destroyed this holiday. Social engineering and greed has taken the holiday and turned it into a lexicon for cheap marketing gimmicks, overpriced goods, and the pressure to be in a relationship.

I'm 14 and I knew that St. Valentine was some type of pastor who got beheaded, and he would marry people who where not allowed to get married. Thats basically all I know about him
