Frankly 99% new players seek help in guild or from a older player.
It might not be interessting to you to read about new curses but you are missing a lot because it's not discussion only about curse it can grow in interessting topic.

I can understand your point of view but I don't see need for this but if it gets approved it will be low priority thing

I have had this exact same thought myself. Sure, you can sort the categories in the forums themselves, but I think having this ability in game would be nice.
