Growing tired I headed for the closest inn for another morsel and a pint or two.
Entering the establishment I asked for a room and inquired about food and ale.
The price was quoted and I paid the sum and sat in the area designated for eating.
Ordering a Charlotte Pudding and a tankard I paid in advance and looked about the room.
It seemed this was a regular establishment for those flying a striped flag with stars.
I inquired about the flag as the dessert I ordered arrived and a couple sailors sat with me and answered my questions.
Eventually the conversation drifted and ended upon my bowl and its contents.
After trying to explain the taste I ordered them both a bowl.
While we waited on theirs and I finished mine I offered to add them to my crew.
Explaining my situation and need for sailors they agreed telling me they had just finished a trip and had nothing better to do.
Finishing my bowl I bid them both a peachy good night and headed for my room knowing that Asteria (#98851) and Delania (#98840) would enjoy the dessert they had never had.
Draining my tankard as I headed for my room my only thoughts were of removing these new boots, pondering the softness of my bed, and the adventure soon to come.
