Finishing my ale while scanning for new recruits I realized it had ran right through me.
Stepping outside to relieve myself, there was a hut with a tree in the yard that would allow me to send the liquid leeward so I headed to the tree.
Beginning my business I began to think on how to find new recruits.
Suddenly, I heard the screeching like that of a banshee demanding I leave their yard.
The tree interrupted my stream, due to my startled jump, and gave me the blow back I had been trying to avoid.
Turning, I saw a hateful looking sailor who's face softened once I crossed out of the yard and back into the street.
Offering my apologies led to the discovery she was very particular on who inhabited her yard for any length of time.
I never found out whether it was some exotic grass or just an excuse to cross swords for excitement.
But I did obtain her name and recruit her to my crew.
As I walked up the street, I thought to myself, it is indeed better to be pissed off than pissed on, lesson learned thanks to my newest recruit Meliva (#58298).
Walking back toward the tavern I noticed some clothing a vendor had for sale across the lane.
My current garb was annoying now that it had a foul smell.
Standing there admiring the whole outfit, sword and all, I checked my coin pouch and it was short of purchasing anything this regal.
Someone behind me inquired if I thought the outfit was fitting of the price.
I stated if my coin pouch was not light I would already have changed into it.
The sailor then mentioned they would be willing to loan me the coin and then some if they could sail with the crew I was assembling.
I quickly agreed and the sailor pressed some coins into my hand and said the amount loaned should be returned with a modest interest.
I nodded and then shot a hello into the stall to summon the vendor.
The sailor then stepped around me and into the stall and introduced herself as Lana (#50727).
After paying her with her own money, changing into my outfit, and pocketing the extra coin in my pouch, I walked further into the shopping district reflecting its nice to have friends with coin even if they charge interest.
