Fantasy Draft IX - The Rookie Captains Draft
Ahoy Mateys! The Community Admin (CA) Team would like to announce the upcoming event, Pirates Glory Fantasy Draft IX - The Rookie Captains Draft.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Pirates Glory Fantasy Draft, it is a forum competition where 5 volunteer player captains select teams of 10 active players one player at a time to form a team that the captain thinks will achieve the drafts stated purpose of the team. Once teams are determined, the captains write up a short blurb about their team and the community votes on the teams. Winning team receives a special achievement, All others in the draft receive a draft achievement. Monetary Prizes are divided up amongst the teams based on where they position in the vote. The most recent draft's prizes totaled over 3 Billion gold coin.
EXPECTED START:
March 2022 - Specific Dates will be provided closer to the draft and once captains are finalized.
CAPTAINS:
In previous drafts, Captain selection was done in the background through game PMs. In effort to be reduce possible complaints on the selection process, the Community Admin Team is making an open request for Captains. For this draft, and in part due to the long period of time since the last draft, to be considered a Rookie Captain the volunteering captain must be an active player who joined between day 2753 and 3399. (March 25, 2020 and December 31, 2021)
Player ID's between 92200 and 100800. If your ID falls outside of this range and you believe you have circumstances that could quantify you as a rookie captain, you can submit for consideration.
In the event, there are more than 5 volunteers, a vote amongst those that volunteered will determine who will be the starting Captains and who will be the alternates in the event a captain cannot participate.
Additionally, it is highly recommended that those volunteering to be a Captain join SLACK. There will be a dedicated private Channel setup for Captains in effort to coordinate a start time and ensure all the rules are understood. You can access SLACK from in game via the Chat Button on the lower left corner. This is not a requirement.

PRIZES:
Base Prizes: 1500 Credits Total
1st Place Team - 500 Credits
2nd Place Team - 400 Credits
3rd Place Team - 300 Credits
4th Place Team - 200 Credits
5th Place Team - 100 Credits
Donated Prizes will be divided up using the standard 37%, 25%, 17.5%, 12.5%, and 8% breakdown for 1st through 5th place respectively, unless notated by the donating party.
DO NOT POST DONATIONS TO THIS EVENT ON THIS TOPIC. A DONATIONS TOPIC WILL BE OPENED NO LATER THAN February 5th, 2022.
EXCLUSIONS:
For those that do not want to participate in the Draft, ie. do not want to be able to be picked on a team, you have until the day of the Draft to notify the Community Admin Team to place you on the ineligible list.
