It's a warship- it has to have a ship's magazine. And judging by her size, it's big. Blow that up, and she'll sink, no matter what she is.

As they spoke, the flag galleon's stern was grazed by a shell, not sinking it, but leaving it incapacitated.

Emily nods

We could send a message to Eloth and Carl to try to find and detonate it. Somewhat of a shame though-I wouldn't mind trying to seize this ship for ourselves. Well, if nothing else, we can claim the remains, study it, and significantly boost the ship building ability of Avonmora. Though, would probably be even better if we studied one of those flying ships, but we should take what we can get.

She focuses a bit before speaking in a clear voice that pops up in Eloth and Carl's head

Look for their magazine-should be deeper, set it ablaze and the ship should sink. If nothing else, the crew will be forced to try to deal with you rather then blow us up.

On the ship, Eloth hurries further into the ship, yanking open doors and throwing fireballs in before storming into the next room. Carl meanwhile is tossing lit bombs into the turrets and cannons, blowing them up.

A pair of large ironclad frigates flying Lydriatic colors sailed out of the fog, engaging the battleship.

Emily looks to the 2 new ships arriving, and quickly warns Eloth and Carl to get back to their own ship-the 2 men quickly do so, and pull their cutter away from the fighting going on.

The frigates had a single turret each, set amidships, which they used to wreak havoc on the Bismarck's command tower, and further wreck the battleship's turrets and autocannons. Within seconds the tide of battle had turned, and soon the frigates had boarded the Bismarck, to capture her.

Emily watches the fight and says softly to Gaster

Hopefully we can talk the king into giving us that ship. I'm sure after looking it over, I could replicate it. That would boost avonmora ahead quite a lot. Regardless, our fleet took some nasty damage. We should make sure to rescue any survivors from the other ships, and fix up any damage taken asap.

He nods, responding.

Are you sure that's wise? Such formidable firepower could cause disaster in the wrong hands.

Emily just nods and turns to him. She thinks for a moment before speaking

Suppose you weren't at the little meeting we had. Me, my sisters and a few other kinfolk talked about what exactly we wanted to gain from this trip north. I was picked to go, so I could look at their ships, their inventions, and their tech, and try to learn to replicate it-if they refused to share that is. Then, we would use it to build our own small fleet, find some reliable and trustworthy allies throughout avonmora, share some of the tech with them, and quickly try to advance avonmora, while keeping a good chunk of power in our hands-in case crap hits the fan.

She points to the ironclads nearby.

Do you know just how lucky avonmora is, that these northern neighbors, haven't decided to invade? Just their normal ships alone would be enough to win. Throw in those damn airships and you have overkill.

She looks back to Gaster

Something that I have been taught, is to try to look ahead-because when you live forever more or less, it's very important you look ahead. Right now, our neighbors are friendly. We should make sure they stay friendly. But all it will take is one powerful figure, like Dreadbolt to cause a ton of havoc down south. One airship would be a nightmare, as we all found out, any captain of an airship could conquer a port fairly easy. Then we'd have to crawl up north, and ask them to help. Better we get our own airships, so we can better protect ourselves from renegades. Regardless, I prattled enough. But do consider my words Gaster. Kings and Queens come and go. The next monarch might not be so neighborly as the current.

He nods, looking north. As the sun rises on the second day of their journey, far away, a faint black blot can be seen- the edge of the thick bank of smog that hangs over the capital like a shroud.

Indeed, and I've seen more than most. While we're in Lynsaweer, you may wish to speak with one of the local factories about commissioning some anti air artillery. They are a must in Lydriatic fortification, and I believe we'll need them in the future.

As they spoke, one of the ironclads broke off from the Bismarck, coming up alongside the Evening Star. The warship's captain asked for permission to board, which Astor granted. Upon boarding, he approached Emily.

Would you like us to escort you up the coast? My men ad I are returning to the capital anyways, so it won't be much of a hassle.

Emily just shrugs but gives him a friendly smile and replies happily.

Well, I'm not the captain of this ship, so not exactly my call to make, though I do think that would be quite lovely-I know my friends on the cutter will agree to an escort.

Emily turns back to Gaster

I'll certainly buy quite a lot while here. Only so much can be learned by casual observation of weapons and tech. If I can get a working tech, even just one, I should be able to take it apart and learn to make more. Hopefully I can get the latest and best they have, though I wouldn't be surprised if outsiders can only get outdated or lesser gear. Still, even their old outdated junk will be a big leap forward. The family treasury will be taking a big hit, but it will pay off immensely.

By the way, we should probably try to find some nice local to be our guide. My info on this land is very outdated, and I doubt you're up to date either frankly.
