As for needing service, Thomas is the one who decided to recruit you to this fight. I simply advised him to get some help if he could. He can probably better explain this mess then I can-he's been involved in it a lot longer.

We're heading into the Void to end this once and for all. Chop the head off the snake, as it were.
My research shows that the entrance is in a large treasure chamber, but can only be opened with a blood sacrifice.

Emily shrugs

You sure we can't just, dig around it? Or under it? If not, what kind of blood we talking about here? Could we just grab a goat? Do we need a virgin? I'm sure Veera could find whatever we need if we ain't got it already.

Virgin girl. As for getting one, that Lizzie girl from Tortuga is locked in my brig at the moment.

Emily frowns a little

Rather messed up you're using her like that. How much blood is required to open it anyway? Does the sacrifice NEED to die? And does the age matter at all? I may have an idea honestly.

The governor owes me. He didn't pay up, so I'm teaching him a lesson. You got a problem with that, too bad.

Emily stares at him and just sighs

You are an absolute idiot, you know that? You don't want to fight gaster alone, yet you openly argue with me, and don't even try to discuss different methods or plans, apparently all because someone owes you. Until you come to your senses and try to work with us, I see no reason for any of us to help you.

She shouts to Eloth and Veera

Let's go to my tower and fortify the place, and make sure Thomas here can't get to the door. When he's willing to discuss things and work with us, he can swing by my tower and maybe then we can open up the path.

The 3 of them quickly leave into the night, while Burt just puts away the money they paid him.

Emily, wait. The only reason I'm usin her is that those gods are real particular about the blood, 'specially Gaster. They prefer teenagers. I just thought I could kill two birds with one stone is all, and save us the trouble of havin to chase down some other teenage girl.

The 3 quietly go back in as Emily thinks

Do we just need her blood, or does she actually need to die as well? We could probably keep her alive even if it needs all of her blood with some potions and magic. Veera, while we talk about this, go see if you can find any other candidates just in case-preferably sick ones. Anyway, THomas you want to start heading out now, or wait a bit longer. Could also try to hire some extra help while in port.
