I can discern why he cultivated this deliberation since the new guidelines are setting a unique precedent and are divergent from any that came antecedent.

I am jubilant that Dez, Mel and Daniks can reach an understanding and are cognizant on Daniks' inclination to not be embroiled in the draft.

Considering what my title is, that seemed like a comment to me. See, it really helps when one is direct and openly frank, so as to avoid confusion. Even now, you don't give any names, or any details. Which ends up forcing those who read your statements to try to infer and guess as to what you're implying. Also with text, it's very hard to tell what someone's tone is.

My current conclusion, is that you are referring to Dez, and his posts. I could be wrong. Maybe you mean CJ. Or some other third party. Hard to tell when you don't outright say what you mean and are constantly vague.

I have tried to keep my comments low key and polite. I could not withdraw on the basis of the rules be applied until.. um.. they were published?

I was happy to leave it there. But they got amended in such a way as to still not resolve my concern. So I voiced my concerns again and still was happy to leave it at that.

I dont use the slack chat but others do and informed me of comments being made. Meh. So what. Let us all just leave it at that. Happy draft to those who partake in it.

You really should have just been direct and frank from the beginning and say you don't want a part of the draft. Would have saved some time and effort.

Excuse me, the rules as published excluded me. I merely alerted captains to that fact and thus hoped to avoid argument at that point.

The change to the rules does not remove that exclusion, it makes it subject to variation by a body referred to as 'community administration'.

I merely point out I have no wish to have my selection, if selected, adjudicated upon by such a body so 'leave me out of it.'.

My response is not to the draft, it is to rules published and the subsequent amendment.

No, the rules were not published to exclude you. You chose to interpret the written rules to exclude yourself.

You posed a question about being excluded, I said you were only excluded in the first 4 rounds per the rule about being selected in 5 or more previous drafts. You then chose to say that then the other rules excluded you. No where did anyone say, Danik you are excluded from participating. You took it upon yourself to interpret it as such. Since no other rules other than witch doctor and griefer were exclusionary, I made clarifications to those rules. You chose to still self define yourself as excluded to the point of saying you didn't want to be included anyway.

So if you are excluding yourself from the draft, then exclude yourself from it. Stop complaining about being excluded when the only person who excluded you was yourself.

Here is my interpretation of your actions, you just troll for a reaction. I believe you had no issue with the rules and posted only to garner a response, and no matter how the response was going to be addressed you would have found a way to complain or blow off the effort to address your complaint.

I'm not going to address any of your concerns any further. I've been more than fair in clarifying the rules and no where in the rules or in any of my statements were you marked as excluded from the participating in the draft. Further complaints from you will fall on definitively deaf ears as I am no longer going to waste effort in trying to address issues for you.

I was unconcerned save wanting to avoid possible contention should I be selected, which is not a given as other rules also exclude me from selection in half the rounds.

Don't get annoyed with folk saying they won't be at the party when the invitations sent out tell them that they are not invited anyway.

You choosing to interpret the rules to your liking is still self-excluding, but just so there is no confusing about what the rules actually say I'll make a minor adjustment to them so you won't have to interpret them.

To alleviate any confusion and interpretation of the rules, Danik is explicitly excluded from being selected in this draft at the request of Danik.

History has shown that the captain picking 2nd has won 4 times and the 1st pick has won 3. Captains picking 3rd, 4th or 5th have never won. Just a fun fact when placing your bets
