Carl hears something from above, and looks up to see a chute has just opened up right above the group. He shouts for everyone to move back, as filth and muck begin pouring down onto them, carrying more bugs into the cavern. Brian shouts as he uses his shield to block some of the filth.

Guys, we can not win this fight with just bullets and swords, there's just to many of the damn things, Agnar, you said you had something for this right? Can you use it?

Agnar findes the bag with the orb, and take it out. He throws it at the red cross

RUN, AND THAT FAST!

The object hits the wall, and falls down, Brian and carl begin running, though it doesn't look like the ball is doing anything. Until about a minute later it flashes and opens up, as a very bright white fire begins slowly spreading out from it, it quickly begins to burn and boil the filth, the bugs hissing in pain and death. The 2 metal golems keep working as the flame spreads to them, melting them in moments. The fire spreads upwards to the chutes melting them shut as the intense heat of the flames slowly incinerates every inch of the lair. As the group escapes the cave into the surface, the fire slowly begins to stop as it gets closer to the entrance to the cave before melting it shut and dying out.

Well... That was 2. 19 to go.

laughter can be heard as Vune approaches the group, still wearing a mask and cloak.

Actually the correct math would be 3 out of 9 done. Some of the attacks were meant for multiple ports. The slimes for example were meant for not just Vaasburg, but also Newland and Seaglory, and these bugs were meant for both Regis, Goroum and Pania.

Brian looks relieved at that. Vune just sighs as she continues speaking.

Well, there were plans for an attack on every port, each of which with a certain type of enemy or monster, but halfway through thinking things up she got lazy and decided to cut it down.

Carl smiles.

Rhena got lazy huh?

Vune shakes her head as she begins to teleport away, before saying one last thing.

No, Mel did.

Going to unofficially help us, or stop us, Vune? Anyways, I'd like to know who this Mel person is as well.

just so its clear, I'm not actually in this story-Vune was just breaking the 4th wall stating that I was too lazy to try to come up with 21 unique attacks on every port so I reduced it to about 9. Meant to be a joke and not actually relevant to the plot-though I suppose Jack and Agnar wouldn't know that

Brian just shrugs as he turns to the others.

I think we should go to Thorokas now and see how Emily is doing. We can also stop by Valorim on the way to make sure everything is still safe there.

I mean, it should be, with the deal they got afterall... but you're right, can't hurt to check

Well considering they helped us a bit, she might decide to hit it out of spite. But honestly we are going to pass it on the way to Thorokas, so its not like we will be going out of our way at all to do so. A quick stop, maybe resupply a bit, drop off some wounded and get some fresh men and continue on to thorokas.
