The fight continues a bit, but the assassin is tiring and hurt, when Agnar decides the fight is over

Today, you'll be out to the grave by the hand of Agnar runebearer, warrior of the coast, guardian of the North!.

The sword erupts a heatwave knocking the assassin down, and Agnar walks towards her, and with a clean cut, he beheads her, with such force, the ground cracks and a house collapses. Mikkel sighs

Had expected him to set it all at fire, that's what he usually does.

Vune just chuckles back

I've seen better. As for why your on my watchlist, well I tend to keep an eye on anyone who uses magic or has any sort of power or influence. Kings, Queens, Governors, pirate lords. Well to be honest most of them I have Sal watch. I'm almost tempted to offer you a spot in the guild, but something tells me your not the type to take orders from others.

Emily teleports down to Agnar, clapping as she reveals herself.

Nicely done. That's some interesting magic you got.

Agnar shrugs

The sword is filled with various stuff. I don't like innocent bystanders around me, incase I unleash the power... Sometimes, it ends bad.

Emily nods

Powerful magic can be hard to keep contained. I could feel that magic from the roofs. If I wasn't already dead I might have been worried about my life.

Emily chuckles before sighing.

Not gonna lie though, I don't regret making myself a lich, but it does have some downsides. I miss eating good food and drinks, or feeling a nice warm bath. Its no wonder not many people do this to themselves. Other then Veera none of the other mages are liches.

Jack walks on the tavern, the priest trailing behind.

Pirate lords ay? How many of them are there again? Besides myself I only know of five others.

Agnar smiles

Should be worried. Accidentally blew up a market place once, with some sort of black fire. Very useful when going one man army, though. If you want, you can inspect the runes?

Emily laughs

You could hit me with a blast that would level an entire port-I wouldn't die so long as my soul is safe. And I have it in a very secure and safe place. To be honest with you, the only thing that would scare most lich's is if you told them you had their soul. Which is why they tend to hide them in very safe and secure places and keep it a secret.

Vune turns to Jack

Last I checked there were 9. But I have Sal watch non magic users. So it might be more or less. When I was young there were 7 one for each sea. But that was quite some time ago. Sal told me, I think 20 years ago that she counted 9. If your one, then that makes 10, unless one or more died. Again, I pay little attention to non magical affairs and people. I leave that to the lesser mages.

Agnar shrugs and picks up the assassin's head

Might as well make the way back to the others.

Emily nods to Agnar, but feeling like not walking she just teleports them back. She goes to Vune and sits next to her before speaking.

All the killers are dead, and I learned a bit about the runes the nords used.

Vune turns to her, and pats her head.

Good job moppet. I assume Dow went and claimed the reward. Remind me to take a cut of it later sweetheart.

Emily nods,Meanwhile back at the governor's mansion Dow bows to him before handing over bits of the beast, the bartender and his friends, and the body of the lady assassin. She smirks as the governor hands her several bags of coins, she quickly counts them using magic, nodding after checking all 3 Million is there and turns to Veera.

alright, lets get going.

Veera smiles as she looks to Dow.

Oh man I wish I could see the look on their faces when they find out we just swindled them out of their cut of the reward.

Dow nods as they teleport away

Still gotta give Vune a cut. Don't want to get kicked out or killed.
