Mikkel shrinking a little in his chair as he speaks, speaking with a cheeky tone

Maybe, you should learn teleportation

jack looks keenly interested in this idea.

Really? How would that work and what would this clone be like?

Dow just looks to Mikkel, and teleports next to him before speaking.

I know it, I'm just not good at it. Do you know how hard it is to teleport from port to port? You do NOT want to know what happens if you teleport inside someone or something. Most mages have at least one or 2 areas of magic that they just can't do very well. Veera is terrible at making things, Emily stinks at healing, and I can't do teleporting very well. Most mages also have one or 2 things they excel in. Veera is great at curses and teleporting, Emily at making things and blowing things up, and I'm great at illusions and mental magic. Odds are if Veera makes the clone, she'll come to me to get your memories Jack. As to how it would work, well it depends on what she asks me to do exactly.

I could make it exactly like you, just evil. Or I could make it a more or less an empty shell, that knows all your skills, but is emotionless. Hell maybe she will ask to give it even more skills then you have, by copying the skills of other warriors into it. Regardless, I might as well hang out and help take out this killer while I'm here.

Jack grins a little

That's a lot of skills. And you would do this? You would willingly let her make an evil version of me? That would be bad everyone....

Dow just nods.

Yeah. Me and her go way back, besides, she helps me out when i need it, such as teleporting me places, even if she can be a bit forgetful about taking me back. And an evil clone of you wouldn't be a problem to me. I can very easily implant a memory or thought into him that would make him think im his mother, or his best friend and that he would never turn against me.

She actually thinks for a moment before speaking a bit more.

Actually, really thinking about it, If i helped make the clone, I would technically be his mother.

Jack grimaces

Well he won't have a real soul, so killing him will be of no consequence.

Dow thinks for a moment before replying.

I mean, if she wanted she could put a soul in there, but that could make the clone unstable, the memories all mucked up and be rather pointless.

Dow thinks a bit longer.

Though I think Vune could do it without making any mistakes. She's the boss and the best mage in the world honestly. She could very easily do the whole project solo-make the clone, add the memories, put a soul in, but she normally doesn't help Veera for things like this. Or anyone really.

The priest shakes his head

She could make a fake one, but she can't make a real one.

Dow just laughs.

Who said anything about making one? I recall that spectre back in Gasp-she could offer it a chance for revenge, put it in a body and you got a soul. Or she could simply steal one. Or buy one-some people sell their souls for the dumbest reasons. I recall one man sold his to get the woman of his dreams.

Dow shakes her head.

Damn fool. Veera is pretty good at finding gullible people honestly.

Souls are all different from one another, put a soul in a body that was part of a different body, that body will act the same as the old body.
