The butler pulls his glove off to reveal an insignia, on the back of his hand, of the most notorious mercenary guild in avonmora....the T'zak Ryn.

Emily thinks for a moment as she continues trying to focus her portal on Veera. Did I hire a butler recently. After a few moments she reminds herself, no of course not, I have magic and servants to do that crap. She turns to the butler, forgetting about her portal for now and just asks

So, who hired you to come here? Also, why the bloody hell are you in my cave. I don't like trespassers.

Agnar draws his sword

Without threatening yet, how did you come here?

[PFH]

My lord has had rat problems in his rum-filled basement and he has asked me to exterminate the nests that they are coming from. I stalked one to this here location. Know where a nest may be at near here?

I mean no harm unless you are a rat in the rum basement. None of ye has 4 legs so I am peaceful to you all.

That is beyond your prying ears. None shall know who I work for, and no one ever has.

Emily nods

I know several rat nests in my cave. I don't kill them, partly because they can't get to any of my food or ingredients, and party because rats make good test subjects and ingredients for witchcraft. Regardless, I would rather you not exterminate them, if you try, I'm going to have to kill you for trespassing.

Emily thinks for a moment before speaking to Brian.

Brian, remind me later to exterminate the vapor rat nest. That one I do want gone.

Brian looks confused.

The hell is a vapor rat.

Emily laughs.

You don't want to know. It involves magic and rats lets leave it at that.

Heard? Humph...words just seem to come my way. I'm a butler. If I couldn't find a nest of rats, what kind of butler am I?

The butler reaches his hand in his tailcoat and slightly unsheathes a serrated katana.

I am here on peaceful terms, but the last fellow who pointed a sword at me had his arm broken and his sword taken from him. This is his blade. I feel bad for the fellow. He was a Japanese sailor just trading when I was hired by my lord to confiscate stolen cargo in the name of his revenge.
