Why I'm leaving: New King strange moves

Honestly, this is ridiculous.

Here are the new laws by the new King of Canada.

Law number 1:
Proposed Articles
1.Payment of 1,000,000 gc
Receiver is Brazzler (#40208)


Law number 2:
Proposed Articles
1.Daily Tax
Peasant Class: 100,000 per Ship
Military Class: 100,000 per Ship
Noble Class: 100,000 per Ship
Council Members: 1 per Ship

2.Penalties apply if debt is >
Peasant Class: 1,000,000
Military Class: 1,000,000
Noble Class: 1,000,000
Council Members: 1,000,000
Proposed Penalties

1.Gold coins interest
(For debt as set above) 10.0000% per day

2.Hostility penalty
(For debt as set above * 2) +2 per hour

This mean that a new player with 3 ships would need to pay 300,000 gc each day. It's impossible for a new player. I can't believe it's possible to propose these rules.

This is giving me 3 choices:
1) Leave Canada for an other nationality
2) Leave Canada and become a pirate
3) Leave the game

Right now, I'm thinking for option 3.

Law number 2.. Just plain ridiculous. What's the point of setting higher taxes when there'll be nobody left in the country to collect tax from since they'll become pirates? With the exception of tons of Hired Diplomats, of course.

I couldn't agree more about this corruption. Before you choose option 3, each nation has a different tax rate set by the players of that nation, for example, france has a tax rate of 50gold per ship for the peasant classes. The issue you brought up isn't a game issue but it's the issue of your king being a bad king.

The issue you brought up isn't a game issue but it's the issue of your king being a bad king.

I don't really mind about "bad King" unless people are able to pay. What's Canada is asking right now doesn't make any sense.
