A tall, proud frigate sails smoothly into the harbor, moving almost soundlessly through the water. The hull was plated in copper up to the waterline, and had a fierce ram mounted to her bow. The ship was painted jet black, with a leviathan figurehead. The golden nameplates on the bow and stern read as follows: The Gunsway. A black flag snapped upon her mast. As it pulled up alongside the dock, the ships' captain marched to the railing and yelled at the dockworkers. He was tall, and broad at the shoulders, with a wild mane of long black hair, underneath a black tricorne. He wore a black greatcoat, decorated with gold. His shirt and pants were of fine make, likely stolen from some hapless merchant, and he wore large black boots.

"You fellows there! A hundred gold pieces to the man what can direct me to the tavern!"

the worker laughs

Well matey you've arrived just in time. Heard he's stopped taking men on so he'll be leaving soon. The man should be found in the largest tavern in the port
which is....right yes it's The Morgan. If anyone in this port knows where Jack will be it's the barman of The Morgan

The captain tossed the man a small, but heavy coin purse, nodding to two large men, who hoisted the gangplank up and over the side, where it landed on the dock. They then proceeded to each pick up a blunderbuss and follow him off the ship, in the direction of the Morgan. Upon his arrival, the two men separated, stopping with one on each side of the door. The mysterious captain approached the bartender.

I'm looking for Jack Teach. I'm captain of the frigate Gunsway.

The bartender looks warily at the armed men and then looks at the captain

If you're looking for Jack he's in the back room.

He points at a closed door at the opposite end of the room.

The man nodded, placing another coin purse on the table- again, about 100 gold pieces.

Thank you, my good man- and get all these fine folks here another round.

He proceeded to the other room, opening the door and entering.

Thomas Dreadbolt, captain of the 40 gun frigate Gunsway. I heard you were hiring privateers?
