Meanwhile, far to the north, in a massive fortress of steel and stone, the king of Lydrian king sits on an opulent throne, doing his kingly duties.

The door to the king's door blows open and a white dog walks in going up to the king before growling sounding very upset.

Tell me, why did you send an admiral to attack Goroum to the south? Thomas Dreadbolt was his name, though he called himself Admiral Malevalence. My master and many other's were gathering there, and this attack killed some of their men and disturbed their business. This attack also killed citizens, and angered many. There is now a blood debt to be paid, and things must be made right unless you wish for war.

[Henry Avery]

The king looks up, first startled, then very confused.

Dreadbolt? The last orders I gave him were to explore the southern seas. No attacks were authorized.

[Meliva]

The dog just looks at him and replies

He had a large fleet, fired upon the port Goroum killed quite a few people before being repelled back by my master and others, He had claimed he was going to conquer it in the name of your kingdom. I believe as he left he said he would make Avonmora bow to him as king. If you did not send him to conquer, then he has disobeyed your orders immensely. When his forces are dealt with, many may want revenge on your kingdom-especially if you do nothing to stop him and repair damage done. I will leave you to your decisions and report to my master if you have no questions.

Meanwhile to the south, the governor of Goroum is quickly sending many letters to the other ports, with details of the invading force, it's leader, ship count and where it headed, along with an urgent call to rally up a massive defence force to hunt it down before any other ports get attacked.

I will be sending my navy in its entirety to assist your master in any way it can. Expect at least 3000 lineships, including my flagship, the 200 gun H.M.S Omniscience in St. Martins in a week.

The dog shakes it's head

I would not send your entire navy. Especially not right away. At the moment, everyone is going to expect any ships coming from you to be invaders-and such a large powerful fleet like that? They would assume the worst. You should start by sending a fleet with a few escorts to give supplies to Goroum, explain the situation, and ask the governor there to alert the rest of the ports that your fleet and ships will be friendly and seeking to capture the rogue admiral. Help rebuild Goroum as a sign of good will, then when the rest of the ports see you are friendly and wish to help, then send in an attack force. Sending the attack force now, even if they say they wish to help, the locals will be mistrustful. Think it a trick to allow them to go deep into their territory and see the defenses and then conquer them.

I will tell my master the situation. He is returning home, so he will appoint someone who will remain to help in his stead. I will most likely return to deliver more messages between you and the south. Do you need any messages delivered when I leave? If not I shall leave now.

No messages. Thank you for warning me. Dreadbolt always was a loose cannon.

The king pressed a button on his desk, leaning into a brass speaking tube.

Please send in Rear Admiral Vinceton.

The dog nods before walking off, quickly disappearing. Meanwhile down south, Agrat watches as Veera heads into the tavern, quickly catching her up on events. She hands her a stack of letters

Be a dear and deliver these to the other governors when you have time. Also, go by that forge to deal with your admirer. I doubt I need to say it, but do be careful. While you deal with those issues, I need to give this treasure to Aunty now that it's safe.

Agrat stands and walks off, quickly leaving the bouquet in Aunty's room after looking it over again carefully. Her business finished she heads home, as Veera silently sits in the pub with a drink, before heading off to deliver the letters first.

Magan is hard at work in his forge, churning out mastercraft swords and other metal items with supernatural speed. His forge seems to be very popular, because as one customer leaves, 2 or 3 more take their place. To the side, he set a beautiful wand of silver and aetherium. This gift ws free of any enchantments, however, save for naturally amplifying any spell cast with it.

As the groups that had gathered in Goroum slowly begin leaving, all or most of them having finished their business and heading back to their homes, some eager for revenge, Veera reluctantly enter's the forge having delivered all the letters earlier. She quickly looks around before looking to Magan before speaking

Really not interested in any relationships, and frankly, not exactly a good choice to have for a partner even if I were. Very little love in my heart, and what little there is, is reserved for my family.
