Thanks, people just need to remember that this is just a game. It's meant to be fun, win or lose. And i'm having a blast so far, despite losing big time . First real war I've ever been in, so it's exciting and new. Won't be able to walk after it's over most likely, but until then i'll have fun doing what damage I can.

And Lietenant bob and his diary will keep everyone posted on future events

The Duchess Meliva has recently given the order for many of our ships to be sold on the market-already over a hundred have been sold, and more are in line to join them. Many of our trade galleons are being sold for much needed credits, while the lesser howkers are sold for plain gold. Her strategy at the moment is to provide less targets for raiders to hit. All that shall remain shall be several war fleets to continue this battle.

And as promised, Xpro and his voodoo doctor have once again attacked, and once more Duchess Mel has repelled them, again at great effort. Sadly we hear she will only be able to repel 1 maybe 2 more attacks of this magnitude, but Pro has spent far more attacking us then we have defending, so we take some comfort in that.

Another barrage of voodoo has once again been unleashed upon us, and thankfully once again Duchess Mel fended it off, though this time the barrage came not from Pro, or even one of his fellow American supporters, but from Dman of the Isle of Man, apparently having heard of our massive downsizing of ships he has come looking to pilfer a few before they went on to the market. All ships were accounted for after his attempt, and he went on to look for prey elsewhere.

It truly seems fate has it out for us and our leader Meliva. I have taken to the bottle quite heavily to drown out the bleakness of our situation. The sun begins to shine as night turns to day, and I pray that this day will be easier then the last.

I can hardly believe it, but the mad lass Duchess Meliva went and did the unexpected-after being on the defensive so long and weathering so many barrages she Countered with a small voodoo barrage back-Something that Xpro apparently did not see coming, as he had no Counter curses and just a single mindbar, which the duchess managed to remove and tag the foul invader king with some voodoo of her own. We cheer at this small success, and the hope it brings.

Captain Log

The war is over. We have lost. During the night Duchess Mel had to take a short nap to regather her strength, during which an old pest of her past came and did a small barrage which did basically nothing thankfully and even helped wake her up, but shortly after while she was making yet another speech, Pro's Voodoo Witch let loose another barrage of voodoo, and the Duchess, from being tired, distracted and weakened was unable to stop this attack. She and our forces were left powerless, and Mel resigned herself to her bed chambers to rest and gather strength after sending several letters considering options of what to do-surrender being one of them. As she awoke her allies had surrendered, and now alone, she had no choice but to follow suit.

Depite all the losses, and damage, and ultimately failing, We are proud to say we took a stand. And now with Captain Bob dead, I no longer need to hide my affair I had with his wife. So that's a plus, and I was promoted to Captain.

Thanks. Glad people enjoyed reading this. Was fun to write too. My rear is a bit sore from the beat down, but I'll recover. Was a good time and experience, and I'll be much more prepared next time a war happens.
