Need some help.

Life has a way of throwing you a curve ball sometimes. We make plans and picture what things will be like in 6 months, 5 years, and so on and all of a sudden plans get thrown into complete flux.

Here is where I would like some opinions. I know many of you live in Europe and some have traveled extensively. An opportunity may be presenting itself very soon.

In your opinion, where would be the best place in Europe to live? Which countries and cities and why?

Is there a language restrictions, weather or lifestyle preference?

An overall experience. Lifestyle, community, costs..... everything. Probably the same factors anyone would consider when moving to a new place.

No language restriction.

I have a friend that lives in Amsterdam and a friend that lives in Germany and both can't say enough nice things about where they live.

Nothing set in stone yet, but looking like we will have choice of several opportunities.

Anywhere from Italy, Greece, to the Netherlands and Norway. Even as far east as Turkey.

My personal choice would be Ireland rent for the house is little higher but other things are cheaper. If you have kids and you don't have issues with cold then Finland as they have best educational system. Germany is other option although personally I didn't liked it there but that is me I couldn't get used on their culture and life style

I didn’t live in any of those but I know people who did or do. I will share my impression if that is OK.
In France, I would say Marsellie, Martigues or Toulouse.
In Spain, Barcelona is the best in my opinion but I like Grenada and Madrid but not as much.
Crete in Greece.
I have friends in Sweden but they want to live else where, same with Munich, Stuttgart and Aachen in Germany.
My brother in law dislikes London because of the weather mostly.
I liked Prague during the day but hated nights there.

Denmark; the country going down the drain.

Denmark, once big and mighty, rich and kind. Now... One of our political parties can be compared to Nazism, we support the refugees more than our own sick, pregnant and homeless people, and the refugees can do whatever they want to.

The tax is high, our corruption goes up. Sure, we got services for our tax, but... No?

Copenhagen? A warzone for gangs...

Wages? Uh... We get paid less and less...
One of the happiest countries in the world? Thinking in percentage, we're also the biggest consumer of antidepressants.

We sell our shit for cheap (like our vaccine institute)

Our laws are weird. For example, adblockers are illegal! (Just turn me in)

There's a 25% VAT and the cars are Hella expensive...

Don't do Denmark :)

I'd almost suggest the mountains in Norway... But there you'd see expensive food... Very expensive.

Finland and Ireland would be my best bets.
