Hey all,

I am about as forum illiterate as they come. I was wondering if someone could post a comprehensive guide with instructions and perhaps even screencaps with arrows etc on how to post images on the forums. I have been fighting for an hour to post an image and have zero idea how to do it. I am used to using forums where it will simply allow me to attached an image from my computer or phone. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well I just figured it out (thanks youtube). Probably wouldn't hurt if someone savy though whipped a quick guide up as I am sure I am not the only one that has struggled with this.

To post an image, first go to https://imgur.com/
Paste/Upload your pic there.
Then get the img url and put it inside an img tag.
Imgur also provides this ready (it should mention bbcode somewhere)

Imgur gave me fits, couldn't find the right url, I finally got it with ImgBB as it gave a specific drop down selection for BB Code.

Whichever it works for you for the image hosting. Do note that the same tag works in both forums and in-game.

For this example:

Google Image Search "Smiley face"

Expand the image from the search, right click on it and Copy Image Address/URL

The URL needs to have a valid extension such as .png , .jpeg , etc.

For the image in I am using the image address/url is: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com ... SY355_.jpg

Use the full editor a click the IMG. It should provide you with ["img"]["/img"] (minus the quotation marks these were added so you can see the code).

Place the url between them as such:

["img"]https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51zLZbEVSTL._SY355_.jpg["/img"] (again minus the question marks

Click Preview to verify the image.

Image

If the image shows in the preview, submit.

Thanks Dez, I guess I should have been more specific, I wanted to know how to post a screenshot that I took in game. I tried hosting it to imgur but apparently you can only get the bbcode formatting if you are a registered user. I hosted it to ImgBB and got it figured out. This is useful, however, for when I want to post standard images quickly.

Ok, I use tinypic.com

It gives you the bbcode and doesn't require you to register. However, it does have an anti-bot verification to upload.

Cool, I will give it a look. I heard imageshack is decent too for what it's worth.
