Yea I guess that makes sense... Not well versed in Mexican history with Spain but I'm sure at some point they were ruled by Spain

We all lack knowledge, as none of us are all knowing; however, just because we lack knowledge of something doesn't mean we fear it or hate it. We can fear the unknown, but do we hate the unknown? We can hate something, but do we fear it? The statement is used to label people and their contempt of something as hate and thus they must be ignorant, or someone's ignorance as fear and hate. But, there is mass media to teach you how to look and think about things you don't know... and results of that are very visible in many parts of the world.
