So today I was doing some extra research on eyestrain coming after staring for many hours a pc screen. I ended up with a program that I have been using for a few hours now and I can already feel the difference.

So I thought to share it here:
https://justgetflux.com/

You simply download and install this program. What it basically does it to directly affect your screen temperature. It does this by taking in mind:
-Your location
-Hour of the day
-Your settings

The first 2 factors actually help the program understand what kind of environment light you currently have.
For the second, I chose Reduce Eyestrain.

Once you install it, the first few minutes might be torturous. But I really suggest you give it a try for about an hour before casting it away. I am relatively fresh to it but so far so good.

So, if you have eyestrain issues or you do spend a lot of time in front of a screen, give it a try. Share your thoughts here afterwards.

Just moving the topic with the pages and derailments lol

I am now using it for around 24 hours. I recommend it now even more so.
The real difference is with bright pages (ie these forums, google, facebook, code editors :P, etc). For pages like in-game PG, you won't get much difference.

Also, for those unaware, all modern browsers trigger browser zoom with Ctrl and + or Ctrl and -
They also save these settings per website.
PG could be better at 110% for some.

There is an extension in Chrome that does the same...

"Dark Mode" in Extensions -> Chrome Web Store. :)

Can turn it off/on. Does not need anything. :)

Using Chrome "Dark Mode" on sites like PG actually makes things worse. The contrast adjustments actually change the colors of much of the text making it harder to read. Using Dark mode on sites with white or very light colored backgrounds, like Facebook, is awesome though.
