There is nothing wrong with asking respectfully to not discuss religion, but that is not what you did. You didn't ask them to not discuss religion. You ranted about you can prove God doesn't exist and that you would be disrespectful to them and their point of view until they stopped discussing God. You also stated that discussion on the promotion of God should be censored.

No one is saying you aren't entitled to your opinion. The problem is that you refuse to hear opinions other than your own and refuse to show respect to those that have those opinions. To top it off, you chose to be involved in the conversation that wasn't even directed at you even though you don't want anything to do with religious discussions. The irony of your opinion and the need to interject it into the discussion is quite impressive and just goes to show that your purpose is to censure those that believe in God.
