Ahoy everyone,

We want to around 1,000 ship names. Anyone who would like to contribute, please post the names here in this format:

Queen Anne's Revenge
Victory
Santa Maria
Arizona

Please do not include identifier's specific to a navy. For example USS or HMS.

Feel free to typo proof/review the posts of other players and communicate with them to clear/moderate their own lists.
We will copy paste your lists into the game for various usages.

A few that come to my mind about WWII:
Italy: Zara, Andrea Doria, Adua, Vittorio Veneto, Littorio (Roma, after 1943, for Littorio is a name very much tied to fascism), Aliseo, Capitani Romani, Conte di Cavour, Fiume, Gorizia, Raimondo Montecuccoli, Muzio Attendolo, Ciclone (some were battleships, other were cruisers, other were smaller vessels).
Germany: Tirpiz, Bismark, Scharnost, Erich Giese, Gneisenau, Zeppelin (carrier), Hipper, Prinz Eugen. Also, Germany used to name U-boot with just a number like U571.
Japan: Yamato, Nagato, Hiryu, Shoho, Aoba, Mikuma, Mogami, Kashima, Katori.
US: Brooklyn, Missouri, Enterprise, Alaska, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Cleveland, Columbia.
UK: King George V, Southampton, Exeter, Hood, Illustrious, Norfolk, Sheffield.
France: Jean Bart, Strasbourg, Richelieu.

A few others from different ages:
Mayflower,
Beagle, the ship used by Charles Darwin in his exploration of the Galapagos IIRC,
Santa Maria was with Pinta and Nina, ships of Christopher Columbus in his sailing to the Indies,
USS Maine, was at the harbor of La Habana, her explosion was the cause of the USA-Spain war of 1898,
Wasa, one of the biggest Swedish ships with a tragic end,
Bucentaur (Bucintoro), the ship of the Doge of the Venetian Republic,
Mary Celeste, the known ghost ship at the base of many stories,
Peleus, a Greek merchantman tragically sinked in the WWII,
Lusitania, sinked as well but in 1915 was one of the main events at the beginning of WWI,
Golden Hind, ship of Sir Francis Drake,
Endeavour, ship of Sir James Cook,
Nautilus, besides a real submarine, was the name of Vingt Mille Lieues... the ship of Nemo,
Kobayashi Maru, fictitional too, but at the base of another famous Captain story,
...
