Nation Missions - Defeat Enemies List

The Nation Mission's Defeat Enemies List should update daily. The list is currently made of the top 10 hostile nation players, as this can change from day to day, I think that the list should update to reflect the top 10 hostile players each day. For instance when you start the mission, you may have a player who was 9 on the hostility list only getting you 2 ranks, but the next day is at the top of the hostility list, but still only gives you 2 ranks because the enemies list doesn't update.

You can do that by restarting the mission if u want to.

Yeah I could do that, but you would lose all the other progress you made for that mission.

I disagree that this should update daily. National missions are easy enough as it is. You should plan ahead. And you should have to run the risk of making enemies. If you can rise to the top of your nations without ever lighting up any of your enemies, it's simply too easy.

I think one should also consider that those who rise up the ranks, can also fall back down : so why should points gained for those now dropping down the ranks be kept as well? Swings and roundabouts, just get on with it.

Yes, that is true. Players both rise and fall with the hostility, that is why changes in the current hostility should change the list. For example on my current mission Bigtea is listed as 8th (3 ranks per win) but since the start of the mission he has dropped to 10th on the hostility list as 2 players have surpassed him. The other two players should be worth more ranks since they hold more hostility.

Well, when you were commissioned to attack these player fleets at that time they were prime enemies of your nation/city state. As a result, you have to do as the king sees fit. Also, take into consideration that when you received a letter of marque it was to attack shipping of a/the specific nation(s). Even if after you leave port and both nations are at peace as long as you did not visit the governor and he told you that X nation has made peace and we are now instead at war with Y,you would have the opportunity to attack their shipping.

-1 Either I am not making sense or I don't understand, but a change to the Nation Mission:Defeat Enemies is not necessary.

It isn't about making enemies or planning ahead. If you are currently at the head of a nation mission list and 10 players surpassed you in hostility, do you think that you should still be worth 10 rank points since you were the leader at the time the nation mission started.

Yes that is true. That is why I said update daily. You can bump somone off the the top 10 hostility list rather easily, but they would stay on the nation mission list until it updated at the end of the day, thus they are still a target.

Yes, I do. Hostility is easy enough to manipulate, both your own and others. I think this list should be static, or it would become too easy to wait for an "easy" target to come along - or just rise the hostility of a target you know will be lit up - or IS lit up. So you should have to deal with the task you are given.

I agree Haron. I mean if SHM is at the top of the list,90% of you won't light him up,however if Deznut was at the top 75% of us would.

*Example not based off actual statistics*
