Could there be a BUY NOW option on the ship market.
For example if a ship is going for 5 credits you could pay 50 creds and get it instantly or the equivalent in gold coins.

This could only work for lvl1 ships where no points have been spent.

Start the bidding at x credits, but if someone offers y credits I will accept it.

There is a problems with this. What happens when the bids reach or exceed the value of buy now?

If you 'Buy Now,' you are accepting the price (and most likely a over) what the seller wants for it. Buy Now could stop whenever the bid reaches its level, or there could be a function that increases the Buy Now to what price over that the seller would want. (e.g. I want 50 credits for this 60 att ship but if the bidding reaches 51 then I'd like 70.) It's about how much you think people will buy it for and making a profit that is reasonable

You do realize how complex the logic for that is right?
