The point of the daily present is to encourage folk to log-in, so sending them automatically is kinda contrary to its purpose : presents sent to you will always arrive regardless of how often you log-in, but again, having them sent out automatically goes against the point once more.

The idea of a 'dead' player still sending presents for 6 months is unlikely to get approval.
