RolePlay "A fresh Start"

It's been quite some time since I made a roleplay thread. Got a bit busy, a bit demotivated and a bit tired for a while. I also think a lot of folks might have been a bit hesitant to join older RP's since there was a lot of lore for lack of a better word that they might not have known from older RPs, and references. So this will be a fresh start in a few ways.

These be the rules, sorry they be a bit long, but sadly they be needed.

1. Try to keep things in character. Don't post something unrelated to the RP here. If you don't like this RP, don't complain about it here. Post a new thread or start your own RP thread if you don't like this one. I would actually be quite happy if someone posts a RP of their own so please feel free to do so.
2. You can control your characters actions-You can not control others. NPC's are fair game and anyone can control them, so long as its believable and in character. A guard for example shouldn't just up and decide to shoot an orphan for no reason-that is out of character. Anyone without a name will be considered a NPC, if you name a character but want it to be a NPC then just mention that said character is NPC in quotation marks after a post.
3. You are allowed to have multiple characters- but be reasonable. Don't flood the story with a bunch of your characters. 2 or 3 in one story is fine, anything past that is sort of pushing it unless you are really good at managing them.
4. Use Italics for actions, and try to separate things nice and neat. Also use paragraphs when needed. Quotations if for speaking out of the roleplay.
5. No editing of a post once you post it. The exception is to fix spelling mistakes or minor errors. It can be real annoying when someone posts one thing and another responds to it only to find what they responded too is now completely different.
6-Do not act on knowledge you know but your character doesn't- If for example Character A is being attacked in the tavern, and your character is in the church, you can't have your character suddenly rush to the tavern to help unless you can give a reason WHY he knows what is happening or he is rushing to the tavern.
7-if you have an objection to something, message the person directly first to resolve it.
8-Please do not decide things for other's characters without consulting them first. For example-don't say your character is my character's father, or lover, or anything without asking me first. Same for all folks. It puts them in an awkward spot.
9-keep things relevant to PG and pirates. So no aliens, or airplanes. Voodoo and magic are fine.

Next post will begin this story.

It is a dark and chilly night in the port of Aiora, in a small tavern near the docks many shady folks sit around drinking and chatting. The doors swing open as a young deathly pale woman in torn robes enters, followed by a large white dog. She slowly walks to the bartender and hands him a sack of gold and says in a tired voice.

Hey Burt. Give me all the wine you got. I have had one horrid day, and I hope to drink it out of my mind.

The barkeep nods and hands her the drink as some folks look her over-some with greed, some lust, some curiosity though none move just yet.

A horse also walks into the bar, followed by a goose with a beret. In his melancolic look he sits in the balcony. The goose follows, but much more cocky.
Bartender: "Why the long face, pall?"
Horse: "What?"
The goose bursts into laughts
Bartender: "Forget about it"
Goose: "It is a bucket of beer for him and some rum for me. We have a feeling the night is about to get long..." - keeping his malicious smile

(if someone wants one of these 2 characters can be NPCs. No problemo for me)

Up above the main area, Tom Blackthorn sits on the balcony smoking a cigar and sipping at a glass of rum mixed with pineapple juice. An eye patch is seated on the spot where his left eye would be. Sitting across from him is his banker, who is sweating. Tom is pointing a flint-lock pistol at the banker under the table.

The banker whispered "Please, sir, I don't know what you are talking about!"

"Yes you do." Said Tom in a raspy voice. "Four and a half years ago I deposited two hundred and fifty million gold coins into your bank. Today I went in to withdraw it, and I was told by one of your accountants that no such account exists. If you are a smart chap like you make yourself out to be, you will care about the future of your head."

"Mr. Blackthorn, sir, you are making a huge mistake. I didn't take your money. Two nights ago we were robbed by bandits. They probably emptied your vault."

"No. I caught the bandits when they tried to escape. The only thing they had stolen was a green rock the size of a watermelon."

The banker gasped.

"What is it?" Said Tom.

"Uhh, nothing."

"I find that, very, very hard to believe."

Tom cocked the hammer on his pistol.

Burt shouts up to the 2 of them

If you kill him, you better clean up the mess.

He then looks back to the young woman, who has already finished a bottle of wine and is gently petting her dog. He nods to her

Oi, Emily, looking for work? Also you got my back if crap hits the fan right?

The woman nods but says in a tired voice

Yeah. Sure. You keep giving me wine to forget my day, I'll fight whoever you want.

He quickly sets another bottle and get's to cleaning, while keeping his eyes and ear's peeled for any trouble.

Tom pulls a pair of shackles from his pocket and chains the banker to the table.

"I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere."

Tom gets up and descends down the rickety stairs made from famously bad Aiora wood.

"Can I get some cleaning supplies, a mop and a bucket?" he says to the bartender.

"Oh hell no! You're not killin' nobody in my bar!" says the bartender.

Tom says "I'll kill you for 'em." and points his pistol at the bartender's block-like face.

He looks back to see that the musicians have stopped playing their song. The bar has gone silent. Thirty five people all point their guns at Tom. He slowly lowers his pistol away from the bartender's face.

"Fine" Tom says, "When I find my money I'll give you 5% of what's left."

The bartender quickly hands Tom a box made from Aiora wood with a label that reads "Cleaning supplies". Tom grins and heads back up the stairs. A few seconds later there is an abrupt bang and a blood-curdling but muffled whimper.

Tom stands up on top of the railing and yells "The next round is on me!" and jumps down from the railing. There is a loud applaud and the music resumes.

Emily finishes the 2nd bottle, and begins to think. She turns to her dog

I'm rather drunk, but did that man really promise 5% of 250M? That's about 12 or so million right?

The dog just looks up at her and nods. Emily pets it and mumbles

Good girl.

She turns to Tom and shouts, her speech somewhat slurred

Hey, pretty sure I might know where your money might be. Least, I know where tons and tons of gold coins are, which might be yours. Well I don't know, my most trusted servant does. They got something of mine too. Here drinking to relax before heading out.

"You don't have to shout, I'm 3 feet away from you." Tom says. "But yes, what do you know about where my gold could be?"

Tom reaches into his pocket and pulls out a gold necklace.

"It was my wife's, before she passed away."

"Oh, how horrible!" A woman behind him says. "Did the flu get the best of her?"

"No," Tom says "but my bullet did. I caught her looking through my wallet."

"Oh, I see. Well I'm sorry for your loss" She says.

Turning back to Emily, Tom says "If you can help me find my money, the necklace is yours."

Goose: See! I knew it would be worth it! I was feeling it!
Horse, in his melancolic state of mind, not caring that much: Sure... they are all very unique in their infancy... a boy becomes a banker, some guy is real nasty with his gun, an adult buys a bar... and yet so unoriginal in their death... weak liers, money loosers, greedy basterds... ah...
Goose: Shut up! Today you are following my lead! I am telling you, this is getting hotter, and it isn't because of the lamps!
Horse: ah... Jesus why are your jokes so bad!
Goose: Shush... burt, bring me peanuts!

Emily shrugs

"eh, not a fan of jewelry. Unless it's magic. Honestly all I want is to go with ya to kill the folks with the gold. Like I said, they got something of mine. You take me with you to kill em, I won't ask for anything. I be a fairly strong witch, so I can promise you that I won't be dead weight or nothing. As for finding them, we simply have to rely on my most trust servant."

She looks to her dog and pets it.

Ino here knows where they be hiding and can take us right to them.

The dog quietly nods. Though Emily mutters

Lotta animals in this bar. A goose, a horse and my dog. Also I didn't buy no bar. I already own this place. Or is that the bar in Tzogos? Thorokas? Eh, I'll remember when I sober up a bit. Good idea though. Can never have too many bars.
