Question for the community?

So past three months I have not been active, logging in every week for literally a few minutes. Ask my guildmates.

In my inactivity, I had 40 Ship of the Line out some of which was 60 attributes, 20 Large Frigates out with over 200 vessels. How come I was not touched? If I remember correctly, not one Spy Network came my way.

Fear? Lack of Piracy? No one thought I had anything of value despite my 50(ish) day of pirate raids?...

Why would anyone want to do that? As you would try to make there game unplayable in return. You have a reputation, and well deserved. But what do I know? :x

It is interesting to me that it would seem when players reach a top level of expertise, others are reluctant to take them on at all. So there is little challenge left and boredom sets in.

I have had a number of really skilled and experienced players mention this. You get to the top and then nothing.

What could be done so that those with all their skills tapped out can still play and get some fun and satisfaction out of the game? More events? One on one's - somewhat like the draft .. but actively
Maybe we could have certain 'challenges' amongst each other and noted as "events" - maybe like - Round 1. Shadowood vs Nelson. Winner goes on to...well..(that's poss the final right there but you get the idea).. Thoughts?

A good idea. Though it requires for at least some folks to be willing to engage in it. There is also the issue of rules and how to score the fight. There could be a standard rule set, or the 2 in the matchup can agree to certain ones or not. Like, no guild help, or no bounties.

Honestly, here's an idea. Someone could make a sort of King of the Hill game. And have one ship called the Hill. Whoever has the Hill at the end of the game wins. Could have a pot involved and other things. Might make it later if no one else decides to. A bit bored lately anyway :D

Whilst this is a good idea in practice, I have discussed it with Meliva too.

Another example "Black Sparrow vs Nelson" we both know who would win without a doubt; it would be based on who would capture the first ship off their opponent etc.

Only problem for 1v1s is, there will always be someone helping to make it into an XvX engagement.

As entertaining and drain of resources it maybe, there is no way it will stay a 1v1.
