The admiral looks both a bit angry and sad. And shrugs.
Mate, politics get in the way of all sorts of things. I had to fight tooth and nail to get this force to come out here, and by the time I did, the info I had was completely wrong, and I ran into a bloody trap. And once I come back, the politicians will begin talking, debating, and by the time they make a decision, the pirates will either be long gone, or ready for whatever we send. Your best bet might be to go and ask your superiors to send a larger force. Now, I havn't been a part of the british navy for over 30 years, but, who knows, maybe a letter of recommendation from me might help get you a bit of extra firepower. Thankfully while the politicians and bureaucrats think I'm a no good scoundrel, most of the navy took my side, so my name isn't mud there.
The admiral goes over and writes a quick, yet heavy recommendation for the commodore.
Again, don't know if this will help ya, but maybe your superior served under me. Who knows, Ill pray for ya later. I wish I could give ya more help, but I got me own orders. Good luck to ya.
I'm a meanie head! Beware my Meanness
