It's blood-silver. Time, drawn from the blood and made into coins. Here, the aristocrats live for centuries, while the poor are lucky to live till 30.

Emily shakes her head

You would think they would try to find better ways of extending their lifespan rather then rely on draining it from the poor. That's bound to make some real resentment between the classes-and there's already a lot of that to start with. Still, that's their problems to deal with. We should be nearly at the castle by now right?

Soon, they arrived at a final gate. Behind it rose a mass of turrets and walls, great towers and halls. They had at last arrived at Castle Lancaster, the home of one of the most powerful men in existence.

Emily looks around a bit

So do we just knock, shout, or wait for someone to come and ask us what we want? Would rather not do something that get's us blown to pieces. That would be inconvenient.

She quietly starts straightening her robes and making herself look more presentable. Before elbowing Eloth and whispering to him and the boys

Come on now, make yourselves look more presentable. Best to make a good first impression after all.

As she did so, the gate swung inward, as though they were expected.

Emily shrugs and quickly heads further, eager to meet the king and get things settled quickly.

A pair of previously unseen guards escorts them into the castle, leaving them in a large library. A tall, proud looking man faced away from them, staring out a window at the city that sprawled beneath them. Here wore sumptuous, but faded clothing, and a worn robe with tattered edges hung over his shoulders. A tarnished, ruby studded silver crown perched on his messy, silvered hair. His voice was low, tired, and raspy.

So... I assume my armada never made it, Helvunes?

Emily shrugs

They made it, it's just that Dreadbolt did some rather, stupid dangerous stuff that's made him a bit more dangerous then we initially thought. Right now he's a living airship. Has a deal with a nasty outsider, and is causing quite some trouble down south. The good news is that, we now know a lot more then we did initially, we've kept the book he was after outta his hands, and Veera and a few other's are causing him trouble to both keep him occupied and harass him. If you could send some airships, along with some anti air weapons down south, we should be able to take him down. Mind you, after he's done down south he will most likely come up here, so I think it's in both our interests for you to help.

He chuckled sadky, turning to face them. His cheeks were hollow, his eyes sad and desperate.

I would, if I had men to manage them. Lydrian is dying. Our economy is currently going through a depression, and many of my men have gone on strike- the majority of them in my airforce.

Emily nods

Well, I could bring some men down south to temporarily join your airforce-I'm sure they could learn what to do fast enough in an emergency like this-we go south, handle him, and then we can maybe start helping you with your problems. Hell, I could make golems to handle the jobs if needed. Weapons and tech would also greatly help. You seem to be lacking manpower, while we have plenty of that, meanwhile we are lacking the gear and tech which you have plenty of. So the answer seems obvious to me.
