Mel thinks hard for a moment

Wait, was that Satan? Or some other prince from down below? Maybe Lucifer? Hard to tell when they go around in disguises. I'll nag them later to find out. Now where was I? Oh right, gotta secure the old port. Eh, I'm tired. Pretty sure they can win without me. Think I'll take a nap and swing by later to help out. Worst case scenario, I level the port out of spite.

Mel grabs a nearby bear and hops on top it, as it walks her home. Back to the cutter, the men leap off it as the ship is wrecked, meanwhile, Veera pops back into port and see's the fort damaged. She frowns

Seems Brian isn't doing too well in hunting down the saboteurs. This is all very suspicious.

A familiar antlered fellow in a red suit appeared next to Veera in a puff of smoke, characteristic shark-like smile plastered to his greyish face.

Hello, Madame.

Veera nods to him

Hello. Seems some forces are trying to undo our efforts. My guess is it's just typical Hell Politics mucking things up. Side with one devil, and another comes along wanting to interfere. Still, could always be worse. Think I might go and set up some nasty mines in the water. Or perhaps sneak on one of their ships and look around. Getting bored standing by honestly. What about you?

Alastor growled, a halo of static and odd symbols surrounding him.

More than likely it's that asshat, Ferthur, trying to take me down a few pegs again. As for what to do... We could always **** up Dreadbolt's plans by speeding up his fleet. He likely planned on arriving at night, when that storm comes over the mountains.

He pointed to a thick line of heavy gray clouds forming some distance to the west.

Veera shakes her head

Defeneses were damaged. And reinforcements will take time to get here from Kanoni and other areas. Shouldn't speed up the attack. Still, my cousin Zephyra is pretty damn good at weather magic. Could use that storm and turn it against him.

Alastor shrugged, unsure.

From what I've read about the Void, it has some very powerful storm elementals. For all we know, the storm could be his own doing.

Veera just thinks

Still, something should be done in regard to the storm. I'll contact her, and tell her if she can't take control of them, to try to keep them at bay, however long she can. Maybe see if Tephras the wind demon will help. I'm off to deliver those messages. Go ahead and speed up their fleets to arrive ahead of the storm. We won't be able to undo the damage in time anyway without some serious magic, or a whole lot of effort-which would be better off saved for the fight.

Alastor chuckled, his laugh slowly being swallowed by white noise. His eyes filled with a red fuzz, and the same symbols from earlier surrounded him.

Veera quickly left, meanwhile, Brian and some men are laying some traps throughout the port, along with digging trenches and blocking paths, Brian is going around shouting instructions as he looks around

Alright men, we want to try to limit their paths, and force them into kill zones. Funnel them into the spots we want them to go to. Should also go ahead and have any folks unfit to fight be sent off. Down south to Kanoni. Get a few greenhorns to escort them, along with valuables and things we don't want getting taken.

The horizon soon turned black, as though the void itself was approaching St. Martins.
