Gregory pickups his stuff and a heads down toward the lab.

Carl and Oggie begin to follow the path of destruction, it looks like that golem has been smashing nearly everything, glass lines the floor, several bizarre looking creatures are dead, some looking almost human, though none look like Meadow. After walking for a while, a loud thumping sound can be heard ahead, Carl and Oggie rush forward and find Emily and her golem currently smashing open cells containing various prisoners-some men, some women, some old and some young, Meadow is nearby, standing next to a cell that had been smashed open. She waves at the group.

Hey guys, Emily got here not too long ago, and got me out. Just in time too, that Nelly woman said id be in her next experiment. Don't know where's she at though. I think hiding deeper into the lab.

Emily nods as she points to a large metal door covered in runes.

I'm betting she's past that door. Did you all get the cult leader?

Gregory navigates through the destruction and stands near Carl and Oggie.

No, we didn't get the Cult Leader. The group, and more particularly Carl, was too busy believing the tale he spun as a distraction to escape.

Carl spins and decks Gregory in the face knocking him down. He starts approaching him before Oggie grabs him. Carl spits on Greg before speaking.

You had a gun mate I didn't, but I suppose you were too scared to use it. But I don't need a weapon to kick your ass.

Emily shouts.

Enough in fighting. Ill track the damn man down myself later. But for now I need someone to help escort all these prisoners out. Jack can you get some men to take them back to port. Meadow, I might need your help in here so I need you to stay.

Meadow nods and Carl goes to stand beside Emily. Oggie stands next to him keeping an eye on him.

Gregory stands up, spits and wipes the little bit of blood from his mouth, and calmly walks over to Carl with his hands to his side unclenched.

First, my grandmother hits harder.

Secondly....

In the blink of an eye, Gregory shifts and lands a quick and powerful punch to Carl's head knocking him backward and to the right.

... while I have a pistol on me, I didn't have it out, I was using a sword and a knife as we were fighting close quarters and at a quick pace. Next time, I'll stop to draw my pistol before entering a room with an unknown number of enemies, so I only have a single shot and my knife at the ready.

Gregory steps back and returns his hands to his side and spits again.

I think we are even now.

Carl stands up and laughs.

Did a little girl just hit me, its hard to tell. But don't use that crap excuse both Jack and Aeon had time to prepare their ranged weapons, and only a single enemy remained, the fact you didn't even prepare to fight that man is proof enough to me that you were in league with him.

Emily grabs her head and sighs as she takes out a crystal.

You know what, I need some quiet now, and since I don't think you 2 will shut your mouths, ill shut them for you.

A bolt of light comes out of the crystal, striking Carl and Greg. Carl tries to speak but nothing comes out. Emily smiles before thinking a moment, sighing and using it again. Carl shouts what the hell. Emily replies.

That will be your only warning. The 2 of you are not to speak with each other. Either of you say one more remark toward the other that is hostile or threatening I'm taking your voices until this is done. Greg, you deserved that punch he gave you-don't talk crap if you don't want a hit, and if you hit my friend again, my golem will kill you.

Carl speaks up.

Ill kill him before your golem can if he does so. Just make sure your golem won't get in my way.

Emily flashes the crystal and just glares.

Since I like you carl, ill let you slide with that. But greg you can reply back to the crap he said earlier. After that I want silence or cooperation when anyone talks. I am not in a good mood today.

[Jack Teach]

Jack looks at the situation.

I personally believe that not drawing a weapon to fight the leader isn't enough proof. After all, my men and I had guns trained on him, so perhaps Gregory thought that he didn't need to. You men,

Jack points to eight of his men.

Escort these poor souls back to the port, get them food and water, I'm assume they are fed badly.

One of his men nods

Aye aye sir.

The former prisoners are escorted away

Gregory's demeanor shifts as he shows slight agitation.

If you feel that way, so be it. I did as I said I would to help stop the cultists. I'm not going take shit from either of you. I don't care what you think you can do either. I am more than capable.

Gregory shifts his focus to Carl.

Additionally, there were pistols on the ground from the dead cultists, Carl, I didn't see you pick any up. You could have. But that's right, you don't think tactically. How many people were in that room was an unknown. We only knew that there was only one person in that room after we entered it. They could have laid in wait for us to enter, the fact that there wasn't doesn't mean that there wasn't a possibility of additional men being in there. You always plan for the worst case scenario, which is what I did. So take your point-of-view and shove it.

Gregory finds a seat in the rubble and looks at Emily.

You want to keep your friend in line that's fine, but I don't work nor answer to you. I'm not here for your benefit. Oggie asked for help in the matter and I obliged. The way I see it, I can walk away when I choose and right now is looking like an opportune time.

[Meliva]

Carl asks Oggie for his pistol. Then he takes aim at a nearby beaker. When he fires it misses by a mile.

I told you before that I don't use pistols as I'm a terrible shot. If i used a pistol in a fight id be more likely to hit a friend then an enemy. So i don't touch them. And mate, when we entered the bloody room, the man just stood there and talked to us for a solid couple of minutes-why didn't you think to shoot him when he began to tell us that you were in league with him. Hell you had ample time to do so-and lets say there were a few more men in there lying in wait-you use one bullet on the leader then draw your sword for the rest. But you didn't take aim, you didn't look around you just stood back. And i do hope you leave. Then if we find evidence you won't be able to hide or remove it.

Emily shrugs and just turns to Greg.

You can leave with the others then, your certainly not needed here. I could have handled this entire fort by myself with my magic, and once i take care of the rest of this lab, im going to track down this leader and get some answers out of him. I don't care who did what. Im taking this fort out because Ellen would want that, and for some more notes to add to my collection.
