Jack looks at the robed man

I have'nt the foggiest idea what we should do with the gentleman in robes. Also, killing veera is most certainly an option, it's just very hard.

The man robed in black turns toward the armored man and Zeph. Performing a few quick movements, the man palm strikes the ground sending a massive ripple of earth outward.

Unable to react in time Zeph, the armored man, and Jack are tossed back violently but uninjured. Regaining their composure and taking stance, they look toward where the robed man stood.

Just as he appeared, the man in black was gone.

Eloth laughs as he get's up

Well of course she uses dark and evil magic, she's an evil and dark witch. Don't see how you couldn't figure that out before hand. I mean, it would be like If I told you I'm a skilled pyromancer, and then you figure out I'm good at fire magic in a fight later on. Should have figured it out when you learned what Kind of person you were dealing with. Also, that was a bit strange.

Zephya just shrugs

Veera uses many different tricks, tactics and items. She prides herself on having no weaknesses to exploit, because she's constantly working to remove any that she finds out she has. That's largely why the rest of the family don't try to get rid of her for good. Is it possible? Maybe. Would it be a complete pain and very difficult? Definitely. Most of the clan just ignores her, when possible.

Also, killing her won't last long. If Veera doesn't resurrect herself, Emily will. Those two look out for eachother for the most part. That's honestly probably the only real weakness of hers I know of. If you held Emily hostage, maybe Veera will surrender. Big maybe though. I don't know if she values herself more then her sister. I'm sure we will see that man again eventually. Problems often come back.

Jack picks up his hat, which fell off his head when he was knocked over.

Well.

He sees a bottle of rum on the ground. He picks it up, sniffs it's contents, grimaces, and tosses it against the ground.

Eloth hands him a bag full of flasks of whiskey.

Take one if you don't mind some strong whiskey. I came with a lot of stuff. Ask if any of you guys need anything.

The only reason I would hold Emily hostage is so that I can shove my golem-building contest victory in her face!

Thelma elbows her.

You didn't win, remember?

As they continue walking, the ground elevation begins to get higher and higher. Soon the air becomes nearly too thin to breathe.

We should call it a night. No use trying to continue walking when we can't even breathe. In the morning I'll teleport with Marla and Black to the healer's hut.

Eloth nods and looks at the town, now almost entirely in ruins. Zeph whirls up some fresh easier to breathe air for their camp, while Eloth starts a fire. He hands out some food he brought, and more drinks.

Gaster appears in Tortuga, looking very non-descript, save for his lack of lips and cheeks. Instead, he had hundreds of razor fangs, crammed in every which way.

Eltoh nods

Well when I heroically came to help you guys, some attacked me, so I burned some of them to a crisp and the rest scattered. I'm sure things will go back to normal given time. I might hang around to beat the stupid outta the rest of them.
