Eloth looks to the priest before whispering to Vicril and Whitlock

I think he just wanted us to stop so he can relax and do nothing. Weird-most religious folk are quick to try to kill me. Doesn't work out well usually.

He straightens up before pointing to Vicril as he speaks to Whitlock

Me personally? Nothing. Killing Vicril here will not get me any money, won't get me any power or items. What it will do is guarantee one of my cousins Emily or Veera, will get a lot of power. Now I may be a demon essentially, but I have loyalty to my family. Plus if they get power that can help me if I ever need a favor from either of them.

Honestly while I don't like Vicril I have no personal grudge with him. But as I said before. Blood is Blood. If my family wants something done, I'll do it. Simple as that.

Whitlock turns to Vicril and whispers
Is this position worth this much risk? Eloth would be difficult for me to beat since my powers are of the same origin as he is I'm afraid or we could always try to escape.

Vicril whispers back

It's to decide who will be the new leader of our guild. A guild filled with witches, warlocks and other very powerful people and beings. It is very much worth the risk for me. If Veera get's into power she will cause who knows how much damage and death-she's a bloody sadistic monster. Emily won't be as bad-she's not as cruel as her, but I don't trust her with all that power either. Salipsa was another contender-before Emily straight up murdered her-and now she's after me. That is not a good sign in a leader if you ask me.

Eloth just shrugs

I mean, we all got a little demon in us-some more then others, so yeah, my family isn't the nicest folks you will meet. But we are smart, and we are powerful. That's what a leader should be. Not soft and nice and weak like you.

Whitlock shakes his head and lets out a sigh of disappointment
Wanna make this a contest of sorts Eloth?

Eloth looks cautious

Depends on what you have in mind. I must remind you however that even if you convince me to spare Vicril that won't stop the rest of the family, and trust me, some of them are far worse then me. I intend to just take his head as proof and let his soul go wherever it may end up. If Veera kills him, well she has a very strong fondness of trapping souls to torture later.

But what kind of contest do you propose.

a sailor walks in the bar, he spots the priest

You!

The priest moves his arm a little, still writing. A knife appears in the man’s throat who falls down dead on the floor.
