Back in Town, a young man named Brian, starts rounding up all the able bodied men, forming a militia. He shouts to some messengers nearby

Go and deliver a message to king Nelson over in Kanoni, to send forces up to help. Hope to the gods he isn't out raiding, but if he is, just take whoever you can find. Who else here wants to join me and my first mate Carl on a scouting mission!?

A grizzled, older man, with a thick gray beard and mustache, and a hook for his left hand stood up. He wore nothing fancy, just an old sailor's outfit. Most knew him only as the Quartermaster. He had a penchant for telling tall tales that got taller every time he told em.

I suppose I'll join ye!

Without warning, the General Store, on the opposite side of the square from the tavern, explodes with a tremendous force. Brick, wood chunks, tool pieces, and debris fly in all directs as the concussive force breaks windows throughout St. Martin. Anyone within throwing distance to the General Store was knocked back or over from the blast. Several bodies lay in the street dead from the explosion. Debris reigns down into the square.

The neighboring brothel set on the square's corner is severely damaged and on fire. Flames engulf what little remains of the General Store. Several whores stumble out in to the square bloodied and confused by the blast.

A mysterious man on the opposite side of the square from the brothel, walks into the alley behind the tavern and disappears.

Brian looks at the destruction and simply scratches his head in confusion

I assume this is part of the invaders plan, but why blow up the general store? Weird first target honestly. Still, guess we need to gather a group to look into the port to hunt down traitors, invaders, and remove any explosives. Should also station more guards in vital areas. Carl, I'm trusting you to lead the scouting mission to sea, please, for the love of god, be smart about it. I'll gather up some folks to hunt around the port.

Carl nods happily as he leads his men to the docks where he quickly boards an old cutter named the Cunning Linguist. He shouts to the men with him to sail onward to see if any naval forces are coming, while Brian directs some men around the port.

Gaster had, by this time, resurrected a good sized force. He directed the battalion of undead to reinforce the garrison at the fort. It was at this time that a ghostly Viking style longship rose from the sea, followed by 5 or 6 more. The draugr he'd recruited had arrived. He placed some of them defending the docks, and others in side alleyways off the main road. Then, a messenger arrived from Lydrian, looking for Veera.

Veera quickly meets the messenger nodding to him as she looks around

So, what's the word? Keep it quick and simple, we ain't got too much time from what I can tell.

The armada is just within Avonmoran waters, awaiting orders, miss. They've brought several troop ships, and wish to know where to land them.

Veera thinks for a moment before quickly replying

Put them a good distance to the north- a fair distance from the port, preferably behind some hills. Then, a singal can be given so that you can head south to surprise the enemy as reinforcements from the north-hopefully, we will get aid from Kanoni in the south-and we can encircle them. We have support in the west already. All that leaves is a force to block a retreat from sea, and we can turn their siege on us, onto a siege on them. Ironic, but funny.

Meanwhile, Carl and a group of men sail forth on their cutter, Carl at the front looking around for enemy fleets.

Dreadbolt's fleet was a few hours away- wouldn't arrive till about midnight.

Yes miss. I'll pass along the orders. The messenger vanished, as Gaster approached, some recently buried young woman on his arm.

There you are, Sharktooth! Been wondering where you were.

Veera looks to him looking bored

Veera, not sharktooth. Very few folks can give me nicknames. We are not that familiar with eachother at this point. That point aside, I've been here all along. Also, I do hope you don't plan to have any relations or other such actions with those corpses. Anyway, I won't stick around for much longer. Going to go join Carl on his little scouting mission. I do want to see his response firsthand. So, if you have business with me, make it quick, I don't want to miss Carl's reaction.
