RP: Battle for Avonmora

[Henry Avery]

It was a dark, windy night in the port of Thorakas. A single rotting frigate burst from the sea, sliding smoothly into an empty dock, it's captain jumping down to the dock before it had even stopped. He ducked into a tavern nearby, The Captain's Daughter.

[Meliva]

The tavern doors swing open, as from the storm a large armored man, Eloth, and 2 young women enter in quickly. The taller woman Veera shouts to the bartender as she tosses him a bag of money

Burt, give us something strong-leave the bottle, some food, along with a room for a few nights.

She turns to the other woman her sister

Emily, you and Eloth go to a table, I need to go and check on some things.

Veera walks back into the storm quickly disappearing into the night, as the other 2 sit at a table, and begin eating and drinking as they wait, while quietly chatting between themselves and Burt.

[Henry Avery]

He hollered over at them.

Eloth! And who are your companions?

[Meliva]

Eloth waves at him before sitting down next to him

Well, just my cousins, Veera and Emily, You've met them before haven't you? Not entirely sure, but I do think there's some other family nearby. Secretive bunch my family is. Half the time, I don't know where any of them are, the other half, they tell me go here, or go there, and don't even say why.

He stops for a moment before turning to Emily

Speaking of which, why are we here again? Something tells me it's not to have a good time.

Emily shrugs

Probably to do some sort of important errand for Vune if I had to guess, probably will be told more by Veera. We don't normally group up unless it's important after all, and she's leading us for now. Regardless What are you up to Thomas?

[Henry Avery]

I've located the entrance to the Void. It's that little island in between here and Vaasburg. Used to be way bigger. Had an entire city on it. It was were the Court of Ancients met, until the supercontinent Avonmora was started breaking up. The city, and most of the island, lies at about 800 feet under the ocean.

[Meliva]

Eloth looks to Emily

Don't you live on that island?

Emily nods

Yeah. I moved in to an old lair that I think belonged to an old long dead wizard named Solberg. Nice little tower in a cave. There's a lot of buildings under the ground. Some going pretty deep. My guess is they moved underground when the water came and sealed things up nice and tight. I Haven't had a chance to scout out every inch of the place yet. The cavern's are massive-and filled with not so pleasant creatures. But hey, a free mage tower is a free mage tower. Can stop by my house on the way there to rest and stock up if need be.

[Henry Avery]

Are you out of your bloody mind!? I ain't facing Gaster alone!

[Meliva]

Emily laughs

Never said you'd be going alone. Think Vune is still fighting him or something. Besides, maybe this is why we were sent here. Veera probably dragged us all here to help or something. Still don't know why she got involved in that whole eldritch crap to begin with. Then again, she's worked with just about everything besides them, Fae, demons, Yokai, wouldn't surprise me if she did this just for bragging rights or something.

Well enough ranting. You got any friends you can round up here before heading out? I can't speak for everyone, but I'd rather there not be a void portal in my backyard, so I'll help.

I wonder... Any of you ever heard of a man called Van Attensburg? William Van Attensburg?

[Meliva]

Emily shakes her head

No, that name is not familiar to me.

Veera comes in and sits down and grins

Oh, we sharing names? Better be careful. Jokes aside, what's happening at the moment? I sent out word for some more folks to come help if they can. Won't be an easy feat, but it will be done one way or another.
