I feel like powerful people are immune from undercover voodoo attacks because of the fame block. Some of these players have like 20mil fame and can't even be be touched.

Revision: Undercover voodoo has a MINIMUM undercover affect of 0 fame - whatever fame.

-1 it removes need of working hard to hit target without revealing yourself if this is implemented then it will result in constant bullying and destroying fun. I guess if you want to go after those with 20M you need to work harder to achieve rank which is undercoverd to them. NPC are great source of fame.

Well, atleast make it 0 fame - chosen fame.

Just some pro remove all their fame so they can never be hit by undercover voodoo.

Chalbooti: the strength and rewards of NPCs are related to you total number of ships. If as a pirate you run with very few, the NPCs will be weak and give little reward

And -1 to the suggestion. People earn their fame and it's worth something here - can't take that away from them just because you find it an inconvenience to yourself

I am not taking away fame lol. I stated that the undercover voodoo requirements should always be at a minimum of 0 fame.

Yes, I know you aren't talking about taking away fame. I am saying people with a high fame are more difficult to cast undercover voodoo on - they earned that fame and that benefit so don't fudge the system because you find it hard for you. Same goes with lowering your fame -- that is a conscious decision so don't change the system to break strategies you don't like

With the right voodoo you can easily leach off of high fame targets and slowly climb the ranks.
Missions are a good option too. can easily do 2x marquise in a day.
+ daughter fame.
Growing fame is already easy enough.

I'm a bit torn on this issue. On one hand, I think the ability to use undercover cards on anyone is not a bad idea. However, the only reason I ever care about my fame level, is because it determines which players I'm able to cast undercover voodoo on. So as long as this is the only thing fame matters for (at least to me), I think the rules should stay the way they are. It still is POSSIBLE to use undercover on anyone, but it requires a lot more effort, since you may have to manipulate your or your targets fame rating.

Perhaps SOME cards could be undercover against everyone, though - like those manipulating fame. That way, you could first use such cards to get you and your target in the "correct" range undetected, and then use the undercover cards you really wanted to play in the first place. Or perhaps this, too, is a bad idea...
