it depends on how many ships you have. more ships, higher chance of losing a lvl or ship

You guys are helping to get points of importance discussed finally.

Two things to consider:
There's a whole area to make suggestions for voodoo that might offset or counter a card.
Ship abilities aren't an idea, but a work in progress. Those with creative minds could find better ways than Levis to destroy those ships. or get rich in the process anyway.

So, the proposals so far on the table, that we could agree with, are:
-Leviathan cannot target level 1 ships.
-Leviathan cannot be duplicated.

This is enough
Yesterday I gave my all. Today I'll give more. Tomorrow, I'll take back what you took for granted.

Would it be possible to allow for a small (10% to 15%) chance of fighting off the levithan? Or, since players are more worried about their Sotl's what about the higher the number of attributes a ship has, the ship has a larger chance of fighting off the levithan. Perhaps something like starting at 40 points, zero chance of fighting it off. For every attribute point above 40 you gain 1% chance of fighting it off up to 20% for 60 point ships. This would offer at least some protection from the beastie while not making the card irrelevant. Just a thought.

If i can have an opinion:

-Leviathan can target players with some big lvl only (numbers of ships, number of fleets, number of war fleets or war ships etc) but no lvl 1 ships.
(is possible that many players to make ships or let ships at lvl 1 and if you must to make a mission you must to have a minimum lvl 10 ship/s in some cases and for that you invest a lot of gold maked in a long time to lose it in 1 second and this is not so nice for new players).
-Leviathan cannot be duplicated.

Just an opinion..thank you.

to counter the dominance of super ships we must implement the autorepair for ships as jack himself suggested..is this not plausible? or are there unforseen conflicts this system might cause..anyways i applaud capt jack for hes openmindedness

Can we have something like "The Great Humboldt Squid" that can take out sotl 10 possibly 70credits a pop and maybe TheTyphoon or Hurricane 150credits that can over come most of a fleet. That mite be considered a deterrent against fleets of sotl's

Zombie jesus wrote:leviathan seems like a moronic card to use a duplicate on.... i agree with Tilemaxos final point. both cards should cost 25 or even more turns.

protecting lvl 1 ships from levi seems like it would at least reduce the abusive nature of the levi

The Argument:

60 attribute, Level-10 ships after 9 Leviathans
Extremes:
60-(9*3)=33
60-(9*5)=15

Average:
60-(9*4)=24

Stock ships after being leveled up to Level-10
(9*3)+5+1=33
(9*5)+5+1=51

Average:
(9*4)+5+1=42

Whether or not enhanced ships are allowed to be sunk by Leviathan they can still be sunk easily enough by the weakest stock ship of the same model.

The truth:
4 to 10 Ships: 2% Sink chance
Anybody want to tell us what a player with 5 level-1, enhanced SoLs in each of 2 fleets is going to do with them if they get knocked down to level 1 and handle those odds as well as can be expected?
When you think about it, consider who the players are that enhance their ships the most. It's all about the Benjamins, Baby!

Having myself been the subject of countless Leviathan attacks (over 60 so far) I would recommend that no ship be spared merely based on level, the current system is adequate and costly as it should be in that regard. With the new voodoo, Leviathan is sufficiently more rare as a result. I think a another defense voodoo is fine or flagship immunity perhaps, but disallowing the basic reason for its existence (sinking ships) seems wholly outside of the reason for the cards purpose. Also new players can pool there leviathans to take out a bigger opponent. It has cost me dearly, but to remove one of the few things my enemies can annoy me with seems unsportsmanlike like.
