Probably to avoid people attempting to transfer resources between accounts they have. Let's say I have account A and I want to go under the radar after hitting a lot of people. I open a new account and try to move all the gold there. Well sorry you can't unless you played from that account!

if you want to go against the rules you will find a way, no amount of extra rules will prevent that.
helping a newbee with 500 fame is imo better done with guidance/advice and then with some actual help thru 'voodoo' (hidden treasure, irongollum) just enough to get them going again, not enough to spoil the beginner stage for them

Thing is, I think his tutorial is broken thus he can't even complete any. I spent a half an hour sending screenshots trying to fix it. He has to hit this fleet named "The Red Pearl" but it isn't showing up on his plunder board. Anyone know what to do?

if im right you have to look through the ports to find it

I don't think the tutorial forces a newbie to look into every port to find the fleet that early. If it does, can someone verify?

I believe it shows up within the port a player chooses when creating their account. I would have him/her start there.
