oh i know not to attack people who are that much more powerful then i am, but that doesn't stop other people from just attacking me, and if you check out the fame and stuff of other people there is no way to defend, how the hell can i defend against someone who has 300 ships and 10,000 voodoo cards, there are several people like that on the server there is just no way to beat them, maybe join a guild, but i am a pirate and i am out trying to do my own thing. i understand though that this is how people want the game and i should probably go somewhere else, i was going to try that burning of the sea game, but i read that its also one of those spend to be #1 games.

I agree with the last 2 posts. The game is not rewarding enough for new players. For the first week (if you don't keep your ships below danger: 2) you will get plundered and probably lose a large chunk of your progress.

It's possible to get to the top without buying your way. I began playing a long time ago and slowly built up my trade fleets to get to the point I am now. But here's what was different about when I started: the ships cost 1/10 what they do now. So I was able to get my first full 5-ship fleet in the first few days and was adding a new ship every day for months. Now the ships are so expensive to build and level up that new players don't get the pleasure of growing quickly.

Devs: please improve the new player experience. Give them another ship when they finish the tutorial, or give them a few credits per day for the first week, and/or give them a warehouse with materials to build a few howkers, or give them 2 packs of cards after making their first 5-ship fleet.

I believe a new player's ship count and trading income should grow more than twice as fast as they do now. Growing quickly is fun and losing all your gold to a plundering on day 2 is not.

The devs are not going to tell us why they will not be giving new players a startup ration of credits. I have a hypothesis or three. No theories yet because I'm not tracking the devs in other forums where they discuss such things as server-side vs. client-side actions and code to cause certain behavior. I only know that they do spend time trying to learn the methods needed to bring about the changes that they've promised us. But I digress.
One reason I can think of is that they don't understand why stores and drug dealers give away samples. Another is that they take pleasure in letting us torture ourselves with unaccepted suggestions (not the most likely reason), This is the one I think they use to decide not to give new players extra incentives. I think they worry that those of us who are here trying to make things better for our new players are not being honest and that we secretly plan to start a bunch of new accounts to get the creits for ourselves. It is possible that they see us as a bunch of cheating manipulative underhanded lowlife pieces of feces. Maybe they aren't even giving us what they promised because they dislike us so much.

OK. Now that I've ranted, I can see how tempting it could be for a die-hard non-paying player to take advantage of the proposed credits and second ship. It would be too easy to pass those things off to another account. I want these improvements too. I'd love to see new players earning gold with a trade route while manually moving building materials to a warehouse. Unfortunately, I believe that the ideas that we have proposed and those that we have agreed apon umungst seasoned players will never come to pass. Trust is virtually impossible for someone who sees dishonesty at every turn. There are those who would abuse these ideas if the became true. They would get caught and be ejected from the game. It would be disheartening. We all want what's best for ourselves, our friends and our allies. I appreciate the efforts you put forth to help the new players but we have to see it from all sides. I give credits and ships away and cast beneficial voodoo on some players just because they show me that they are trying. We can't expect the same from the devs. Their stake in this game isn't as socially affected as ours. They have to make the game marketable. That requires that they try to keep from opening doors to cheaters. They have to keep it interesting. I can't support the credits for new players with the same vigor that I once did because my mind is more open now. I'll continue to help players as I can while still promoting my own advancement. I wish you and your guild members good times in the game and in life. We have to make the best of what we have in both. It's the same game for all of us. It isn't over just because someone has ove 40 million fame. If I played for fame, I'd be bored out of my skull by now. Play for fun. Play for the advancement of people you don't even know and see how fulfilling that can be. I can see that this is whay you're posting here. I respect you for it.

This is one of the best games to come along no pushing commercials no budy trying to bump you just because you can't aford to pay plenty of advice we will allways have haves and have not's of witch i am one but the greatest of all things is having a say in the posts that mite be implemented in some way shape or form it seems that most of the trouble is geting people started in the game the more players you have the more possibility for income.
