Well the thing is, you can't call yourself a merchant but have more offensive ships than trade ships. Not a hard feat if I'm blacklisted with 500k gold. But I mean, good job I suppose.

Well I mean if you run trade routes with those ships and not plunder then I would say that qualifies as a merchant-just a very well armed one. But I do not know his fleet lists or what ships he has or routes he may or may not have, so I don't know if he does that with them or not.

Well, his allies refer to him as a pirate as well, so it seems he's the only one categorizing himself as a merchant.

He is more a hybrid than a merchant imo.

Yeah i think so too. He definately isn't a pirate anymore in my opinion, but i still wouldn't say he's a full blown merchant.
